Crimea and other territories were Russian for centuries until some stupid commie signed some papers and said they were now in Ukraine.. isn't Russia giving back Crimea like giving back Texas? if some commie took power in the US and said Texas is once again part of Mexico would you recognize that after the commie was removed from power?

That’s a horribly bad analogy from both ends. Mexico recognized Texas as an independent country, then as a part of U.S. - and that was over 150 years ago.
Crimea’s history on this issue is much more recent, but Russia recognized it as part of Ukraine AFTER communism ended.
Crimea’s population identifies as Russian for the most part. Texas’ population identifies as American for the most part.
It’s just a bad analogy all around.
