If you read the article what she is now saying she lied about is she said she didn’t remember hearing that Trump lunged for the steering wheel.
In other words she did hear that he lunged .

What she is saying is that in her first deposition she lied and said she didn’t have any recollection of hearing Trump lunged for the steering wheel. Then, she recanted that in her second deposition and said she was told he did lunge. So the lie was initially saying Trump didn’t lunge
