From the video's description on YouTube:
Beautiful J&B Whiskey holiday ad.
A grandfather learns how to apply makeup so he can teach his 26 year old transgender grandchild Alvaro/Ana.
Love and acceptance conquers all.
I used to drink J&B. Then I discovered _good_ Scotch and never looked back. I’d say this ad says J&B is now going after the coveted “hipster loser” market, because doing that is easier than actually improving their product.
Once again, I can thank God that I gave up drinking forever.
When there are so many delicious bourbons and scotches available.
I will not buy it.
It’s government dispersing social engineering via corporations.
This in conjunction with Anarcho-tyranny to destroy the West.
Everything is against straight conservative white males.
Like that stupid man hating Gillette razor ad.
I now know I will never buy J&B whiskey based on that ad.
_________
In fact, maybe I’ll buy an extra bottle of Lagavulin 11, aged in charred casks, based on that ad. Honest, its $20 cheaper, and in some respects better than Lagavulin 16.
Who TF buys J&B anyhow?
I have a bottle of Bristol Irish Cream I bought for 2021 New Year I never finished. I thought I’d drink it and bought a new bottle for New Years 2022 - never opened. Both still in the fridge...I think the way things are going I’ll finish both bottles New Years 2023....all by myself.
Made in Ireland, imported to CT. My ancestors would appreciate the gesture anyway!
Insanity........I’ll drink to that!!!
I’m not a whiskey drinker but I buy it for gifts. I’ll check out that Lagavulin.
Just in case we as closeted FReepers know each other. Crown XO is really good.
Thanks! This could turn into a great thread. My tastes turn more to wine (Tuscan reds) or abbey ales (Chimay). This being the christmas season, I like to splurge on something special.
Good whiskey can be moderate priced or more expensive. I like to give good quality without straining the checkbook.
Makeup doesn’t make you a woman. Remember the 80’s hair bands? Fashion doesn’t change your gender.
LOL reminds me of the classic Beavis and Butthead exchange while watching some hair metal band video.
Butthead: Are these chicks?
Beavis: I think so.
Butthead: Well they’d better be chicks because I’m getting a woody.
LOL. The guys in 80’s hair bands were prettier than most of us girls. The same for guys in the 70’s with long hair. Robin Zander comes to mind. We loved men with long hair back then.
To their credit, they liked women, but never claimed to be one.
Steve Perry.
And Vince Neil is what like 300 pounds now.
Clown world.
I almost wrote his name down, too. My friends and I loved Steve Perry.
And they had no problem getting girlfriends. Gotta laugh about it now. LOL
Today, everyone would think they were “trans.” They almost look like drag queens.
