A jet reportedly crashed in White Settlement Thursday morning, police say.
The White Settlement Police Department told WFAA that emergency crews responded to the scene around 10:15 a.m. near the Fort Worth Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base.
Police confirmed the pilot of the aircraft ejected. His or her condition is unknown at this time.
Police said officers have been asked to help close streets near the incident.
In a statement to WFAA, Lockheed Martin said an investigation is underway.
"We are aware of the F-35B crash on the shared runway at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth and understand that the pilot ejected successfully. Safety is our priority, and we will follow appropriate investigation protocol."

White Settlement? That’s an amazing thing. Really does appear to have gotten its name from the fact that white people settled there. I’m surprised the name survives

There was a stink about it a while back.
The name is historically based on the white people living in Indian territory.
The woke group lost out.
Fort Worth.
White Settlement is on the western edge of Ft Worth.
Fort Worth never crossed my mind.
George, is that you?
Darn straight.
White Settlement! The name must be changed immediately!
It’s where the spirit of Matt Dillon beat a gunman to the draw inside a church.
Maybe they can change the name of the town to Trigger-happy European Oppressor Infestation, to make the wokes happy again. They’re normally such cheery folk./s
I’ll be in Amarillo by morning.
I live within baseball throwing distance of a place called White Cemetary. It was started by a family surnamed White who like most people with that surname were not.
Its just west of dallas, and is the only city in the US where you can leave your house or car unlocked

When was the last time you were in White Settlement? And it’s not just west of Dallas, it’s west of Fort Worth.
F-35B is a VSTOL variant. Looks like a perhaps a gear collapse after landing, and the pilot may have attempted to get airborne again. It is strange — ejected instead of remaining with the aircraft. Onboard fire?
Glad to hear it. I was thinking that the plane's anti-gravity module might need tweaking.
Maybe a software glitch makes the ejection seat fire when the pilot pushes the “off” button.
