French Social Media Erupts as Store Clerk on Avenue Montaigne Reports Zelenskyy’s Wife Having €40,000 Christmas Shopping Spree in Paris

Olena Zelenska, wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, traveled to Paris France for a three-day visit December 12-14. As reported by Le Monde, “Members of the Ukrainian government will also come, including Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and several ministers in charge of reconstruction, including Yulia Svyrydenko (economy), Oleksandr Kubrakov (infrastructure) and German Galushchenko (energy).”

However, social media has erupted today after a “reliable store clerk” working on the ritzy Avenue Montaigne, has reported that Olena Zelenska went on a Christmas shopping spree spending €40,000 euros in an hour. Previously President Zelenskyy’s wife was received by French first lady Bridget Macron.

If the reporting is accurate, the spending spree comes at a bad time optically, as Mrs. Zelenska’s husband Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is simultaneously asking the European Union to provide more financial support for the embattled country.

Additionally, the Biden administration is trying to push congress to pass another $38 billion spending package for Ukraine to bring the total spent well over $100 billion.

Mrs. Zelenskyy Christmas shopping in glitzy Paris stores and dropping €40,000 while her husband bangs his tin cup isn’t exactly a good look.

How could this be possible? Ukraine has always been known for its corruption-free government and society. The integrity and honesty of its leaders, past and present, are beyond reproach. Yes, this has all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation, the same trick they tried with Hunter’s laptop.

I expect our former intel community officials, the Gang of 51, to release a letter declaring that this is false information about the Ukrainian President’s wife. The Russians are losing and Ukraine is winning.

Had every US administraation not pushed NATO closer and closer to the Russian border for the last 20+ years... What would you do if a historically hostile foreign power set up shop right next door?

NATO is joined voluntarily, even eagerly by countries just recently enslaved by Russia. There is NO EXCUSE for Russian invasions of their neighbors for territorial gain.

Ukrainian government (which was installed through a coup

So, Putin is restoring democracy to Ukraine after the 'coup'? Sorry that's plainly false as there will be much less freedom in any area of Ukraine occupied by the Russians. Ukrainian people through their ferocious defense have shown clearly they do not want to be under Putin.

Until all that is taken care of the needle on my Give-A-S**t meter barley budges when it comes to discussions about the "freedoms" of people who are not Americans.

It coincided with US interest. Last year we gave the equivalent of 5% of our military budget to Ukraine, to neutralize the russian army as an offensive threat to NATO.

1. Zelensky is rich. Not super rich but rich. Communists are outraged by rich people and hate them. Communists like to vent their outrage through social media.

2. A “reliable store clerk” as a source used by communists.

Yeah, that is more Russian propaganda from a communist kook in France who wants to bring back the Soviet Union. Another “reliable source”, I suppose.

The French people are suffering mightily from their government helping the “suffering” Ukrainians. The French are experiencing blackouts, energy shortages and high inflation.

Zelensky and wife will NEVER suffer personally. They are wealthy beyond measure.

The French must be thinking of dragging their guillotines out of storage for this latest Marie Antoinette display by Ukraine’s first lady.

“The Last Refuge?”

No. The piece is from the so-called “theconservativetreehouse.” If I’d known that, I wouldn’t have followed the link to the post.

I have many relatives who are “store clerks.”

None of them are communists.

It coincided with US interest. Last year we gave the equivalent of 5% of our military budget to Ukraine, to neutralize the russian army as an offensive threat to NATO.

Again, the war did not start in Feb 22, and the roots of it lay way beyond the first Russian annexation of Ukrainian soil. Also, it's obvious at this point that Russian actions in Feb of 22 were no real threat to NATO. The only reason it was viewed as one is because te globalist ginned it up as one and got the rubes all riled up. You, and every other FReeper who go back and forth as either pro-Ukraine or pro-Russian are all shills for one side or the other. We have no common ground to start a meaningful conversation.

If you all were half as vehement about what's going on here in the US as you are about what is going on in Ukraine, maybe, just maybe, our country wouldn't be as screwed up as it is.
