One of the last episodes of the TV show The Orville had AI bots destroying a world by killing off the intelligent life forms and then to attack other intelligent life in the universe.
Goal was to have a AI universe only.

I liked the ending to the short story "Second Variety", in which the surviving human discovers that the AI-directed robots have developed versions specifically designed to kill the other robots.
AIs may have all the flaws and vulnerabilities that we have plus many others we have not yet imagined.
Some things may never change.
