Cartel hitman who decapitated enemies has gone missing from a US prison

A cartel leader and hitman fond of videotaping torture sessions and decapitating his enemies has gone missing from a federal prison in Florida, where he was serving a 49-year sentence.

As of November, Edgar Valdez-Villareal, a Mexican-American cartel leader, had been mysteriously removed from the federal Bureau of Prisons web site. He is now listed as “not in BOP custody” even though his release date is not until July 27, 2056.

Valdez-Villareal, 49, is known by his underworld moniker “La Barbie,” and headed up the the Los Negros, an enforcement group of the Beltran Leyva cartel — one of Mexico’s most ruthless underworld groups. At one point, he was a top lieutenant for the Sinaloa Cartel, run by convicted drug dealer Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman-Loera.

When working for the Sinaloa Cartel, Valdez-Villareal was asked by El Chapo to help bribe Mexican prison employees to get long johns to the cartel leader’s son. When two men took the bribe but asked for $500,000 rather than the original $100,000 fee, La Barbie ratted them out — leading to their torturous deaths.

Valdez-Villareal was indicted in the US in 2010 and extradited to the US five years later, where he was found guilty of drug trafficking and money laundering.

So, you can torture and decapitate people now and only get 49 years...

It would have been life, but they took a little off the top.

We’ve got mongrels running the country and wonder how the most powerful terrorist organization on the continent could bust one of their own out of prison? Yawn.

Either a very-well-financed escape, or he’s in Witness Protection.

He is out doing jobs for the government somewhere. Nazis have use for people such as these. Whomever takes Bidens place after his “retirement” will be leader for life. The 2024 elections will have one candidate get 70% of the vote. Or maybe President will be changed to governor of el Norte’?

He was probably going to release a list or evidence of U.S. politicians who were paid off. And now he’s, “Missing”.

Sean Penn had been secretly tunneling him out, as he did for El Chappo. ;)

He’s now probably a DS asset, right along with their other MK-ULTRA zombie wind-up toys.

My guess is he was moved to another undisclosed facility due to being an escape risk. With hundreds of millions of cartel dollars at his disposal, there's no telling how many prison employees were secretly taking bribes over the years in a lead up to a final escape attempt.

Look at the bio, El Chapo was willing to spend $100,000 in bribes just to get long johns to his imprisoned son. While El Chapo is now in a US prison, there's still cartel loyalty from his successor to Villareal.

If he only did that in Mexico, we can’t prosecute him for that here. He was convicted here of drug trafficking and Money laundering.

The cartels work with China.China supplies Fentanyl...

Biden works with China in too many ways to list - the latest being the Department of Energy giving China billions for lithium battery crap of some kind.

Biden gives free cell phones and free phone service to illegals so cartels can keep track of their human property.

Biden’s lived and has owned many mansions on a lifetime pay of less than two hundred thousand a year...

Someone’s paying him off... Maybe someone let this guy escape - it’s not like he was part of an Occupy Congress protest. You know something serious.

pas, fair point. I did not get that in the headline. Maybe we should ship him back to Mexico and let them put him away.

He was extradited from Mexico. It’s pretty standard practice that prosecutors in the US agree to forego the death penalty in order to get an extradition agreement from countries that do not have the death penalty.
