Republican candidate Herschel Walker conceded the Georgia Senate runoff race to Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) on Tuesday.

“I want you to believe in America and continue to believe in the Constitution and believe in our elected officials most of all,” he said. “I’m never gonna stop fighting for Georgia.”

“There’s no excuses in life, and I’m not going to make any excuses now, because we put up one heck of a fight,” he continued.

Walker made no mention of Warnock in the speech.

Me voting for Trump is not the problem.

Getting a couple million independents to vote for him IS the problem and one his team needs to figure out ASAP.

I don’t doubt that President Trump can win the primary. I do worry that he will get crushed in the general election however. He is no longer a novelty candidate running against Hildebeast. He is a known quantity and people either love him or hate him. With all the baggage hung around his neck (fairly or unfairly), It is going to be a lot tougher finding enough people who love him this time around. Lots of people gave him the benefit of the doubt last time and while I hope he could do the same in 24, the rational me thinks that is unlikely. As I said earlier, he has to win Independents and that is a far different bigger challenge than winning over people who post on Free Republic.

Trump is more intelligent than Biden.

As I said already, Democrats will vote for Democrats no matter what.
Your opinion of what I am thinking is wrong.
Intelligence and policy matter to Republicans and flip floppers.

“If intelligence means simply voting for someone with a letter after their name, then conservatives are clearly less intelligent than Leftists in your model.”

There is also the factor that in many places there are just a whole lot more people who vote for the ‘D’ than the ‘R’ when equal percentages show up. All the Democrats have to do, really, is get out the vote in a lot of places, no cheating needed (not that they don’t, but it isn’t always cheating when they win, there are simply more of them in some cases).

Yes, this is Trump’s fault. Had Trump stayed out of the Georgia Senate races in 2020, we would not have two democrat senators from Georgia.

You can’t beat vote fraud that is at this level. Especially when even conservatives are blind to it.

Having cost two Georgia Senate seats, you would have thought Trump may have been a little circumspect about directly involving himself in the primaries for the mid-terms.

Hell no. He went all in on Hershel Walker and at one point suggested Stacey Freaking Abrams was preferable to Kemp.

Seriously, how can anyone defend this?

A lot of the things Conservatives love and many of the things we tolerate are poison to independents, and the many Democrats who dislike Biden intensely and would vote for a Republican light.

The people on here who mock outrage at “mean tweets” or missing the fact that many thousands of potential (non hardcore D) voters absolutely HATE the way Trump communicates; mock them if it gets you off, but then don’t whine when they don’t vote the way you’d like. His inability to make good appointments pissed off people I know who voted for him in 2016 and did not in 2020; fact.

“Trump is more intelligent than Biden.”
So is Biden’s GSD.

Biden has better handlers and listens to them. Trump is his own worst enemy. It doesn’t matter *how* smart you are when you don’t know when to shut up. He’s almost never had anyone tell him “NO”, “Shut Up”, or “You’re Wrong”. A little bit of humility goes a long way, no matter *how* successful one is.

The lead went back and forth between them until Warnock gained a lead that Walker couldn’t overcome. That’s how elections often are.

When did tabulated ballots ever have names attached to them?

“Trump’s whole persona is wrapped up in picking winners.“

After the cast of backstabbers and clowns he had for four years at the White House, I think his penchant for picking winners was shot wayyyyy before this last election.

Democrats never seek perfection from their candidates. Too many on our side do. That’s a big reason why Democrats keep winning are completely taking over America.

__________________________________________________________

I have to strongly disagree with you. You effectively find no Dems that stray over to policies like enforcing the border, being tough on crime, opposing LGBTQXYZ indoctrination, being pro-life, etc., etc. As far as Dems are concerned, they are MUCH closer to perfection with their politicians than we are with ours.

Georgia is effectively a Blue State now.

It's been trending that way for while.

Blue state = more free stuff. Too many GA residents want more free stuff, even at the expense of their freedom.

Obviously, each voter is responsive for the consequences of their own votes. So in that sense, you can always blame the voters for the wrong people being elected.

But that's only half the story. There are a lot of voters - enough to swing elections - who are persuadable either way, and they don't always make their decisions based on hard policy. We can't afford to lose all those voters by nominating candidate who will alienate them. And if we do, it is our fault for pushing unelectable candidate because we should know better.
