That should bang the bars on the putinophiles’ cages here at FR.
Why should it? "Man of the Year" is not a statement of virtue or decency, it is a statement of importance and defining character. I dislike Zelensky, but there is no question that he has been a central figure in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and his presence on the world stage is presently outsized.
That doesn't preclude viewing him either as a patriotic hero or a corrupt figure happy to bring on World War III for his own personal benefit.
