In the Crimean War of 1853-56, I wonder what Russia was fighting for? We know the Britain and France were fighting to preserve Islam…Like always.

The Tsardom of Russia was fighting for more territory.

Besides, Lenin clearly stated that Soviet Russia was NOT a successor start to the Tsardom of Russia. And that was made legal - they rejected all Tsardom obligations and debts.

The successor to Soviet Russia was the present Russia (since 1991).

Hence today’s “Russia” is not a successor to the Tsardom of Russia.

Today’s “Russia” dates only to 1918.
