I'm more concerned with freedom of speech and political opinions. We've had an American Nazi party, an organization not a couple of clowns, since 1959. Essentially a revival of the German American Bund started in 1936 and abandoned when Germany declared war. The GAB was an extension of the Friends of New Germany, formed in 1933 at the express permission of Rudolph Hess. I'll add the Communist Party USA, 1919, and the Trotskyist Socialist Workers Party, 1938. That's the one Bernie ran as an elector for, twice I believe, in the 80s. They get to express their views, those who disagree have won the argument. The alternative, banning "unacceptable" political views, is what these movements thrive on. I could have included ANTIFA, Communist militia during the Weimer Republic, and BLM, CRT and 1619, which imo are in the process of being neutralized. Though perhaps not in some areas of the media.
And then there's terrorism and radical Islamism, criticism of which the same suspects try to suppress criticism.
More speech and more info
Shine the light of free speech on it. Don’t make it mysterious and forbidden.
Like water it will seek its own level
Geez, and I thought if another holocaust happens... that our own Democrat Socailists of American Party rife with communists would be in charge! My bad.
She’s got a platform, and somehow we’ve all survived.
The premise is wrong. The year is 2023 not 1939 and unlike 1939 antisemitism, a lasting cultural artifact in Europe and the Middle East in paricular, is now an often, and usually, well disputed notion today in the Americas, western Europe and most of Asia. That a couple seemingly “popular” antisemites can now reignate the Holocaust is not true and that wrong headed idea is now being used to further the attacks on freedom of speech and seeks to gain impetus for government censorship in the guise of “protecting us” from “bad speech”.
Hitler born today in western Europe would be soundly rejected. The autho’s premise is false.
