When this thing started people at the hospital where I work were all sporting blue and yellow and saying “I stand with Ukraine''. I'd laugh at them and some would say "How can you be like that, people are dying!''. I'd ask the person telling me this "How much of the history of these two peoples do you know?''

Ri-iight ! So you're saying that it's okay to laugh, even when thousands of innocents are dying, when orphanages are being rocket-bombed, as long as it is happening in an area previously plagued by strife.

That somehow provokes you to laughter - when people profess that they side with the victim in this case?

The Ukrainian war for independence from Russia in 1920/1921 , the Holodomor, Stalin’s man made famine against the Ukrainians and the Ukrainians who eagerly served in the SS killing squads and others who served in the Waffen SS and the Wehrmacht.
