One of the reasons I did well in math was I had someone in my home that most of these kids don't have. Someone who loves me and was the kind of person I wanted to grow up to be like. Someone who taught me his math tricks.

my father

Hedonism takes that away from many kids. Yes, I agree with most FR posters about government failing schools and the need for school choice. But more important than that, we need to win the spiritual battle.

Even a decent percentage here refuse to recognize it.

To hell with school vouchers. People pay more in housing and taxes so they can have better public schools. Quantavious Jenkins from 13th and MLK jr doesn’t belong in my “hood”.

Those schools would/must have requirements for parental involvement, student behavior and attendance, etc. You mess up you're gone. The upside is that we could break cycle of African American party unity. There's something wrong when 95% of a race only votes for Democrats.

“Why do they need to be good at math? We always need a lot of men to do hard, physical labor, or skills such as plumbing, carpentry and masonry. “

I’ll assume some sarcasm here. Imagine hiring a carpenter or mason who doesn’t understand fractions, decimals and basic algebra. I have to use math to hang pictures that line up on the wall. Framing a house is exponentially more complicated than hanging a picture. Heck, how many squares of shingles will be needed to cover my roof?

I have to use math to win at WGT computer golf!

5th Ward Texas…

Houston is probably even worse since all the ghetto New Orleans relocations.

The problem isn’t the buildings, books, or teachers.
The problem is people who annoy you.

This was a basic skills test for math. The bare minimum one should know. I don't want my plumber, carpenter, or mason to be bad at math. I'd like things to work properly and last a while.

ANY statement like that is considered RACIST.

This is not sarcasm. Pointing out that some genetic races and cultures developed humans with higher IQ levels is considered RACIST.

Yet this is exactly why the Egyptians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, British, Germanic, all eventually conquered the world throughout the last 8000 years. These cultures all developed written languages, math, engineering and agricultural practices that allowed them to rule their domains and defeat their enemies. .

“have a friend in Taiwan that just started his daughter in kindergarten. She and her classmates are 3 years old. Let that sink in.“

You can’t want this government school to take kids even earlier. Learning has to do with so much more than classrooms especially so with our public school system

Taking three year olds away from their mothers, worse, three year olds - in many cases, six month olds, getting dropped off for the day to be without their mothers is actually the worst tragedy in this country. We don’t know about it because babies don’t know any different. And they can’t talk

But it interrupts learning, the desire to learn

“Our K-12 system is broken.”

I would respectfully challenge you to name one system that is not broken in this country.

Fixing blacks is a waste of time, and it’s their job to do it anyhow.

Bringing Asians and Hispanics around is far more likely and numerically advantageous.

Every eighth grader failed the standardized NYS math test.

That's equity. Everyone failed. Equal outcomes - no problem!

From the article:

“In science, 71% of fourth and eighth graders passed”

Most of the students can’t speak English or do math but 71% passed science? That doesn’t make sense.

name one system that is not broken in this country.

I would say that the media propaganda system is humming along nicely. The public school indoctrination system is doing fine. The expansion of government system is a success at every level.

This is why vouchers are needed, to help the Blue city kids escape poverty.

The Blue city kids need to keep doing what they are doing. No changes. That way, they will stay on the plantation and vote for their masters forever.
