Over a million Republicans voted by mail-in ballot in 2022. Over a million Republicans voted early in Florida in 2022. There was a ‘Red Wave’ in only ONE state in 2022. Which one was it?

Republicans dominated Florida in the 2020 general election as well. Trump tweeted to Florida voters in August of that year: "Whether you call it Vote by Mail or Absentee Voting, in Florida the election system is Safe and Secure, Tried and True. Florida's Voting system has been cleaned up (we defeated Democrats attempts at change), so in Florida I encourage all to request a Ballot & Vote by Mail!"

Even more Republicans voted by mail-in ballot in 2020. Over a million and a half. And nearly two million voted early.

So there it is. When mail-in ballots are under careful Republican oversight they are safe and convenient and benefit the party in races. Think about it: if you have the power to eliminate mail-in ballots you have the power to fix, not eliminate, the mail-in ballot system. The 2020 election was in the middle of a pandemic and mail-in ballots benefitted Florida. Consider the likelihood of another future pandemic.

If truly significant, the problem of fraudulent ballots isn't with the ballot; it's with the people who commit fraud with ballots. Calls to eliminate mail-in ballots sound similar to gun grabber's arguments to me. Sorry, they do. If we reason that guns don't kill people by themselves and that gun-related deaths, regardless of number, committed by criminals do not warrant restricting the constitutional rights of the vast majority of us law abiding gun owners, then let's be consistent.
