Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), a prominent centrist Republican, said Monday that former President Trump should not have had a meal or a meeting with Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist organizer and podcaster.
“I condemn white supremacy and antisemitism. The president should never have had a meal or even a meeting with Nick Fuentes,” Collins told reporters when asked about a dinner Trump had with Fuentes and Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, at Mar-a-Lago before Thanksgiving.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reported that Fuentes and his followers support closing U.S. borders to immigrants and oppose feminism and LGBTQ rights as the “bastardized Jewish subversion of the American creed.”
The ADL also pointed out that Fuentes attended the white supremacist “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017.
Trump said in a post on Truth Social, his social media platform, that West asked him to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago and “unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about,” referring to Fuentes.

Thanks for the daily Trump hate. It’s kinda fun to see you melting down.
How many more days will this propaganda continue?
We need a Jan 6 Committee to determine what Trump had to eat at the ‘infamous’ supper. This should lead to another impeachment for sure. //sarc//
I hope Trump’s enemies run on:
“But...but...his dinner.”
When democrat political and economic positions are terrible they have to conjure up their “bread & butter.”
Racism
Sexism
Homophobia
Antisemitism
Climate Change
Biden’s team is working with Iran, a nation that wants to destroy Israel.
We have the Statue of Liberty which has been a thorn since it was given to us. The Statue has become a a free ticket to America. liberals use we’re all immigrants and it’s stuck forever.
Democrats ran on saving democracy and it worked. They will repeat that in 2024.
No one gives sh!t about this except DeoSanctus fluffers.
Or maybe the coverage of this is WAY overboard and completely unbalanced in who else has been meeting with other questionable people.
I'm no supporter of Fuentes but they have tried to make him out to be the Ayatollah which is hardly correct.
Sure Trump and or his team may have to keep him in bubble wrap from now on, but that's more because of how he will be endlessly attacked for anything he does, than him actually doing anything to deserve this type of barrage.
I'm speaking as someone who prefers DeSantis, but the recognizes the complete destruction of Trump will not be helpful to conservatives.
I am still stuck on a WHITE supremist with a hispanic surname. Makes no sense. It sounds like a SNL skit.
“Democrats ran on saving democracy and it worked. They will repeat that in 2024.”
Will it work again?
I hope they do run on saving democracy in 2024 because its a nonspecific platitude.
Also their bread and butter list should’ve included abortion. I missed that one.
Trump condemned the rally and the violence
By Kanye West?
that Susan Collins never even heard of Nick Fuentes before
he crashed Trump’s dinner party.
*************
I guess my question is did he ‘crash’ or was he brought
at the invitation of someone else?
Susan Collins is a perfect example of why you should NEVER contribute to the Reoublican party. When you graciously give you support Collins (and Graham).
Exactly my thought. It will go nowhere. The Never Trumpers keep grasping at straws because they can’t stop Trump’s support.
Did PDJT actually “meet with” this dude? Wasn’t Fuentes one of Kanye’s hangers-on?
Guess demonrats should not meet with Ilhan Omar then
First, Trump knows there is a target on his back. This just gives his enemies ammunition.
Secondly, Trump needs independent voters. This does not help in that area.
Third, Trump's poor judgement in appointments and endorsements is his greatest weakness and this is another example.
We all know a portion of politics is "optics" and affiliations. It is bad enough that the left twists everything. But this is self-inflicted and totally unnecessary.
You’re missing he point. I already made it clear I’m ready to move on from Trump, in many respects for the reasons you keep re-posting.
But we are on a battlefield, and Trump was a great general for our side at one time. He is currently wounded, no matter what his die hards will tell you. And he is now the focus of endless attacks, both friendly and foe, to the greatest extent yet.
The nature of these attacks is the issue, as they are overblown, exaggerated, and in many respects inn accurate. Piling on as you are doing is not only hurting Trump, which seems to be your intent, but it’s aiding and abetting those who will want to use similar unfair attacks to attack other conservatives “in the name of Trump” in the future.
Trump should be protected on the battlefield from unfair assaults, else those unfair attacks will be leveled on out next general in kind. That doesn’t mean you have to support Trump in every idiotic thing he says at times, but be mindful of being the lockstep with the MSM piling on.
