Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and now Twitter, has said he would support Ron DeSantis in a 2024 presidential primary, although it is still unclear if the Florida governor intends to run.
Asked on Twitter, the platform he now owns, if he would support DeSantis in 2024, Musk responded in the affirmative, while stressing that platform should be “fair to all.”

Musk is trying to give him a boost.
Breitbart. This isn’t the Breitbart of 10 years ago. New people are running the show, and they aren’t conservatives.
I doubt it. The media has been pitting, and promoting DeSantis against Trump for quite a while now. As soon as I hear, or see the main stream media promoting a specific Republican candidate, I run the other way.
It’s going to be DeSantis vs. Newsom. Newsom says he will not run if Biden runs for a second term but we all know Biden will not run again.
DeSantis isn’t running, and Trump says he’s worse than Biden.
"move towards the center" "I was a significant supporter of the Obama-Biden presidency and (reluctantly) voted for Biden over Trump."
What is his FReeper handle? There are several possibilities.
That is petty.
He hasn't said he not running either. He could resolve all this by just saying he's going to fill out his term as governor that he was just reelected to.
Do you believe DeSantis is worse than Biden?
DeSantis isn’t running, and Trump says he’s worse than Biden. Is that why you recommended Trump endorse Biden?
If I were the world’s richest salamander, I just *might* take up untouchable trolling.
;D
The Devil sows discord, that’s why.
Most of the anti-Trump articles on Breitbart are their usual AP/AFP newswire feeds and don’t show up on the front page. You have to click on their Wires link to see them (unless their referenced here on FR).
Droning on over "We wuz robbed!" is a loser issue.
Short a handful of house races in blood-red districts, every "Stop The Steal" candidate was defeated in 2022.
I wouldn't expect DeSantis to embrace this issue. He wins elections.
Well, I do think there is a bit of a media and public groundswell for a DeSantis candidacy. Whether it becomes real is yet to be determined. President Trump had the election stolen from him in 2020 but as I’ve already written, I’ve moved on. He as not acquitted himself well in completing what he says or starts, failed to fight the steal, didn’t backup candidate’s with his $100 million plus campaign PAC, etc. Plus, all of the personal quirks are getting very, very tiresome. Maybe we can get McConnell, McCarthy, and Trump to all agree jointly to step aside?
Yeah....that election integrity stuff is ... just... so .... petty.
🙃
Trumps says he didn’t know the guy was coming. Ke brought him without telling Trump.
Musk is a CCP Trojan horse trying to displace Trump and conservatism in the Republican party. He’s reversed some of the improper bannings but at the same time, lots of people are still getting banned and suspended. Musk is just focusing on high-profile accounts to ingratiate himself with the Republican base so they’ll buy his Tesla death traps. Only libs were buying his cars before so now he’s just going for another side of the market. The guy has no principles.
What exactly has Trump done about it? Other than fundraise? He collected ~$200 million for an “Election Security Fund” right after 2020 but has spent that money on rallies.
As far as DeSantis, he created an actual plan on how to approach the problem, then took multiple actions, staring in February 2021.
This was just an off hand comment. No promises made that he would keep it nor that it would be exclusively for DeSantis
