Yup. I think it’s obvious that the Republicans need MAGA to win. But, it may also be true that MAGA needs the rank-and-file Republicans to win.
Re: 53 - there’s more than a few MAGA supporters that are willing to purify the Republican party of non-MAGA types and believe that is the path to victory. Exhibit A - Kari Lake’s genius move to call out anyone at a rally who was a “McCain Republican” to “get out”. Yeah - that’s the path to victory!

They mostly don’t really want to have to vote for the country club type GOO-establishment candidates anymore. But yes, sometimes rheyre given no really good choice so they’re stuck
