She may provide temporary shelter that the homeless can cycle in and out of, but that's about it.
What should happen is that large tent cities should be built out in the desert. They need to make it illegal to be a vagrant, and ship the homeless out to these remote tent cities.
The cities can be fully staffed and the homeless can't leave until they have cleaned up, gotten a job, and found a place to stay that they can afford.
Keeping the homeless in the city near "services" is just enabling more and more homelessness.
Screw the non-profits. If they want to help, then they can staff up the remote tent cities and truly help the homeless to get their lives back together and headed for success.
I'm always amazed that liberals cannot grasp that fact. Liberals are the problem with America.
She’s walking a fine line. Shipping folks out of town would “reduce homelessness.” But it’s cheap. She needs millions in funding to be a real mayor.
And, of course, any criticism of her policies will be met with the same old tired tropes of racism and sexism. LA voters will, indeed, get the leaders they deserve.
