The Berkeley County, South Carolina, school board made several big moves in its first meeting after the election. The board’s former chair said it was a “political witch hunt.”
On Tuesday evening, the Berkeley County School District in South Carolina swore in the board members who were elected last week, including six who received endorsements from the conservative activist group Moms for Liberty.
Within two hours, the school board had voted to fire the district’s first Black superintendent, terminate the district’s lawyer, ban critical race theory and set up a new committee to decide whether certain books and materials should be banned from schools.

I love groups like this Moms for Liberty. Reminds me of the Tea Party days - people getting together, doing something, and not just waiting for the next election to make changes happen.

This is not about Moms for Liberty. It is about poor performance. They are trying to make a racialist right wing story out of it.

Of course the GOPe RINOs will snub them. Just like every other group: The Goldwaterites, the Silent Majority, the Reagan Democrats, the right-to-lifers, the evangelicals, the Reform Party, the Tea Party, the MAGA people, all of these chances to build a majority were wasted.
