Sounds like a deliberate attack intended to incite WW III. Poland should consider this an act of war by Ukraine and take back what was theirs before WW II.

Article 4 is a meeting to discuss risks related to threat scenarios. Several countries invoked it in February this year and Poland invoked it in 2014. Basically, there’s no direct correlation between it and Article 5. No outcome of an article 4 conversation puts NATO on course to trigger article 5.
They could conceivably decide that an errant missile (Russian or Ukrainian) is an accident not a deliberate act, and just send strongly worded memos to the originating party.
Article 5 is different. A deliberate, targeted attack against a NATO member allows that state to invoke collective response, but the response depends on the threat implied. America must know this because 9/11 is the only occasion that’s resulted in it being triggered, and if Al Qaeda had simply been a tiny club of mentalists without any state backing or billionaires financing it, America wouldn’t have been able to convince NATO to get involved in multiple countries including Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Did Zelensky purposefully bomb Poland, so NATO would bomb Russia or to get sanctions or the ilk?

The BBC were reporting it this morning as probably a Ukrainian AA missile that went astray. And no, I don’t think we’d like to see a nuclear blast in mainland Europe.

I totally forgot about the Ukes. There two easily believable possibilities. Now there are others, but I think these two are the easiest to explain this.
1. Russian missile had guidance failure of some type, went off course. Not uncommon at all for ANY guided missile.
2. Uke AA, what goes up must come down. If AA missile does not find/hit the intended target it becomes a surface to surface missile on return to earth.

Something to consider, if Russia is using missile barrages and targets are “relatively” close to UKE borders, then more incidents like this are possible. Missile guidance isn’t foolproof.
