TRUMP: ‘AMERICA’S COMEBACK STARTS RIGHT NOW’
RSBN ^ | November 15, 2022 | Summer Lane

The moment has finally come. President Donald Trump has announced a presidential bid for 2024, and MAGA supporters everywhere are rejoicing as the 45th president has promised that, “America’s comeback starts right NOW!”

In a solemn but unmistakably executive speech delivered in Mar-a-Lago, Trump told the world that he would be officially throwing his hat back into the ring for president in 2024, challenging the far-left destruction of Joe Biden and the radical Democrats.

“Three years ago when I left office the United States stood ready for its golden age…towering above all rivals, vanquishing all enemies and striding into the future confident and so strong,” he said.

Trump assured the audience that in 2024, “voting will be much different.” He asked, “ARE YOU GETTING READY?” The crowd cheered. Trump replied, “AND I AM TOO!”

While Trump touched on the devastation of the Biden administration, he also drew attention to the dream and hope of what America can be once again. He called the MAGA movement, “The greatest movement in history – it’s not about politics, it’s about our love for this great country and we’re not gonna let it fail.”

He added, “The world has not yet seen the true glory of what this nation can be…in fact, we can go very far…First, we have to get out of this ditch.”

President Trump’s announcement came on the heels of a heated 2022 midterm season. His bid to reclaim the presidency has shaken the political establishment to its core.

Fantastic speech though I’m still pissed over the last two “elections”. Do any of these scumbags pay the piper or skip away unscathed?

He is calling for the people to save the country. I get it. OK. Fine. Where is my action list? You want the people to help save the country. What would you like us to do? That is as frustrating as when put us all on terrorism watch with “See something, say something” See what? What are we supposed to look for? Mossad had a list of ten things to look for that were tell tell signs of a terrorist. They never published it. Mr. President. you have 75 million screaming fans. Don’t just leave me here screaming. You must have a list. tell me.

Amen, boss.

He fights!!

He’s on OUR SIDE!!

He stands up to the UniParty!! He’s the ONLY one with the power to do so.

He is the only one who can get traction, against the DC cabal.

Some pathetically call him “the leader of Jan 6th” … and, that we should “move on”.

I say NAY to the Naysayers!!

Watch McConnell and the Senate Republicans behavior over the next six months.

Their MO is to turn their backs on their voters right after an election. Voters are hyper-sensitized right now to how the "red wave" was stolen. If they suspect that the Republicans in the Senate are happy with the outcome, if they suspect that the Senate Republicans are working with the Democrats to pass their agenda instead of fighting and obstructing at each and every opportunity, then support for President Trump will grow like a wildfire.

People say that Trump can't control his impulses. Well, the same can be said for our Senate Republicans. Let's watch and see if they reach out to their base to explain what happened and how they're changing it for next time, or see if they go back to business as usual without another thought about what just happened. I'm betting on the latter.

It will be Mitch Mconnell and Lindsey Graham who drive the voters back to President Trump.

I’m glad to hear that he plans to give it a run, but I do wonder about how “voting will be different in 2024” especially as he cannot do much to influence the voting systems in place, the congress presumably can do certain things and states might do certain things, remains to be seen whether much will really happen on that front.

A more promising avenue for Trump than voting reform would be to broaden his appeal to more women and blacks, and the younger voters.

Intrinsically, most of the MAGA agenda should appeal to all citizens of America. His opponents try to make it sound like a dog whistle for white males, but open borders, a lack of international security, and the vast corruption of Democratic politics, are all problems for all citizens equally. Trump has to focus in on that aspect, that what he stands for is worth supporting by all citizens.

The bombastic and insulting Trump is fine if you just want to hold on to that solid base but all the Democrats need to do to defeat the solid base is what they just did twice in a row and will probably do again (I hope not, but what prevents it from happening again in 2024?). We need to see a more reasoned and outreaching Donald Trump. He’s not going to lose any votes by being a bit less edgy. Also I would like to hear assurances that an administration will be assembled without any swamp creatures this time around. A lot of good things happened in Trump 1.0 but the task ahead requires that a lot of other good things must happen in 2.0, and some of those cannot be done with deep state plants in key positions.

The question is, of course, will we all survive to 2024 to take part in this? If somehow 2023 could just come and go in one day that would be a good thing.

Final point: I would like to see a show of unity in the patriotic wing of the Republican Party. Anyone who is not an enemy is a potential asset. Both de Santis and Cruz, for example, as long as they don’t announce rival bids for the presidency, should otherwise be treated as friends. Cruz in particular could play a useful role in Trump 2.0, maybe as Attorney General. De Santis should just stick to business in Florida until 2028. It would be a pretty good ticket as already suggested, Trump-Lake, sounds like a good name for a casino resort too. :)

Does anyone in the media ever talk about substantive policy other than superficial crap storylines like “election denial” or Jan 6 “insurrections” designed, not to improve anyone’s lives, but solely for the political advantage of the party they are aligned with?

De Santis should just stick to business in Florida until 2028.

His term as Governor ends in 2026. After that, he has decisions to make.
