SEN. LUMMIS: DeSantis is leader of the Republican Party

Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) on Monday declared that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, not former President Trump, is the leader of the Republican Party, signaling GOP support is shifting away from Trump in the wake of the 2022 midterm election.

Asked by a reporter for Politico whether she would endorse Trump, Lummis replied, “I don’t think that’s the right question.”

“I think the question is who is the current leader of the Republican Party. Oh, I know who it is: Ron DeSantis,” she said.

“I’m saying currently, Ron DeSantis is the leader of the Republican Party, whether he wants to be or not,” she explained.

What will guarantee a Dem victory is the Republicans period. The leadership of the party don’t want we the voters to have a choice. It’s either their pick or no pick. Our party is already split. You either get behind the establishment pick, which is DeSantis 100% or stay split and keep losing. I want to keep DeSantis as our Governor the next 4 years, that means our nominee will be Trump or some other wuss like Pence. It’s our choice. I vote Trump even if we started a third party or go independent. We need to get out the RINOs and the only way to do that is get in Trump or just don’t vote and let them all lose.

I don’t know. If he wanted to put a stop to this, he certainly could. He could easily call a presser, and emphatically state that he’s fully supporting President Trump, and will definitely NOT be running in 2024, but consider a 2028 bid. His statement was too vague, and too long ago. All of this brouhaha could be put to bed if he wanted it to. I think he’s a political opportunist and he’s in bed with the Ryan/McConnell/McCarthy/Pence wing of the party.

That would be best so he can finally disappear and we can win some election s again.
He was a great president who I loved and voted for, but his senility, absurdity and stupidity has worn on the country.

I feel the media drove him over the edge as it would with anyone in that spot. Move on time for him.

Q for Lummis: Does FL under Gov DeSantis still have RCV-enabled voting machines, early voting, mail-in voting?

Nuff said.

You really think trump is intelligent at all, let alone smarter than the current FL Gov? It’s almost laughable, even trumps family and any that work with him admit his stupidity. He’s a great showman and salesman but don’t ever pretend he’s a smart person.

There is no reverence in how you used His name. You didn’t need to use Jesus’ name to make your point. It’s just appalling to see the name above all names bandied about so lightly.

I agree wholeheartedly with your point about a third party. It’s like marriage. A third person only makes things worse.

Here’s another question that people need to be asking...

Since FL still has RCV-enabled voting machines, early voting, mail-in voting, all the mechanisms Deep State needs to steal elections were in place.

So why didn’t Deep State steal Florida’s top ticket elections?

We need to know the answer to that before we back DeSantis.

Lol, you’re probably one of the fools that think Jesus is coming back with flowers in hand for peace and good will. Read your Bible. Btw, he’s coming back with a sword and army. Shits gonna get real

If all this buildup regarding his November 15th announcement results in Trump simply announcing that he’s buying CNN, I’d say he’s officially gone back to his role as a TV clown and will have almost no influence in U.S. politics anymore.

There is no reverence in how you used His name.

Again, your opinion. Opinion is not reality.

Looks like good folks of Wyoming have to throw another Republicrat out of the party. She can join her Democrat friend Liz Cheney.

Stupid people don’t become billionaires….hey, DeSantis is our governor here. I support him, I campaigned for him…as a governor. His time will come. He will tell us. So far it’s just rumors. You’re falling for the rats division policy.

I think he’s a political opportunist and he’s in bed with the Ryan/McConnell/McCarthy/Pence wing of the party.

I've been pointing out the uncomfortable truth about DeSantis for months:

Comparatively speaking, he's dead broke ... which means he has no future in politics unless he does whatever he's told to do.

No offense to any DeSantis supporters here, but I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 because I got tired of that sh!t. For better or for worse ... Nobody tells Donald J. Trump what to do.
