Nolte: NBC News Projects GOP Wins House of Representatives 219-216
Breitbart ^ | 14 Nov 2022 | JOHN NOLTE

Posted on 11/14/2022 10:37:15 AM PST by SoConPubbie

In its latest projection, far-left NBC News says the Republican party will narrowly win the House of Representatives by a narrower than narrow 219 to 216 margin.

If this projection holds, that will bring about a big sigh of relief and one of the rare bright spots in an otherwise disappointing midterm result for the GOP.

What was supposed to be a GOP wave — one I was sure of — turned out to be anything but.

When it was all over, Democrats actually increased their hold on the all-important U.S. Senate by one seat. Democrats could increase it further if current Democrat U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock wins Georgia’s December runoff against Republican Herschel Walker. Last week, Warnock did beat Walker by nearly a full point. Because no one topped 50 percent in that race, the state requires a runoff.

A nightmare scenario would give Democrats 52 U.S. Senate seats and control of the House of Representatives. If Democrats win 52 Senate seats, Democrats will not need U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) to pass legislation. That would almost certainly mean the end of the filibuster that both Manchin and Sinema refuse to kill.

Without the filibuster, the Senate could pass whatever insanity it chose — including expanding the Supreme Court, socialized medicine, and heaven knows what all — and a Democrat-led House would rubber stamp it, all of it, everything.

At least with the House under GOP control, there will be a check on the lunacy about to come out of the Senate.

Keep in mind that NBC already blew one House projection. Three days ago, NBC predicted the Republican party would win the House with a much safer margin of 222 to 212 seats.

So.

“As long as they don’t overdo it”

That is the slim and fragile thing left to cling to.

notice that where there are blue states, those are the states with systemic election fraud firmly embedded by state voting systems that enable cheating

I do believe that election cheating is way more technically advanced and widepread than any american citizen wants to believe.

people just shrug and look the other way in disbelief.

witnessing election tampering is like seeing a UFO, but the results of reporting it are far more dangerous

“witnessing election tampering is like seeing a UFO, but the results of reporting it are far more dangerous”

Excellent analogy.

I just finished reading this book:

https://www.amazon.com/Dreamland-Autobiography-Bob-Lazar/dp/0578437058

What a page turner—I could not put it down...one hilarious section is when he and his wife are having marital problems, go to see a marriage counselor, and his wife blurts out that she does not get to see enough of her husband because he spends to much time out of town reverse engineering alien technology....and the therapist kicks both of them out of their office..

;-)

Serious question to all those on Free Republic, and there are many, who believe that Biden won fair and square (or at least that any election fraud that occurred was not large enough to effect the outcome). Do you believe foul play occurred during the mid-terms or do you believe they were fair and accurate?

There are not enough votes for impeachment.

I don’t envy McCarthy his job. He has to keep a lot of mutually hostile factions in line and cannot afford a single defection on any important vote.

At 219 I wonder if 2+ Liz Cheneys still lurking on the Hill will come out of the closet to reveal their true allegiances when its time for that body to decide whether to re-elect Nancy as Speaker or not. This will also be the moment where every Dem who promised to not vote for Pelosi will be given their ultimate test. The real 2022 Election battle has only begun. This reminds me of when “outgoing” California Assembly Speaker Willy Brown and his other 38 Democratic colleagues met on opening day after the 1994 Election with the 41 Republican colleagues to elect a Speaker and California would finally have its Assembly free of the Democrats’ 24 years of rule. https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1995/01/25/california-speaker-brown-reelected/996a87c7-d51b-4eb1-9bc9-45db05873f8c/

This Willy Brown of San Francisco was an important mentor to both Speaker Pelosi and Vice President Harris in the early days of their careers in San Francisco. You can be certain that when Speaker Pelosi sees that her Party is coming in as the Minority 216-219 that she’ll remember her mentor Willy Brown.

Republicans are not gutless....they are complicit.

Why is that so hard to see?

May God grant that it be true. We need to save what’s left of our country.

Agree we need to save what's left.

Sorry if you think 219 Republicans in the House are up to the job.

Nope. Not naive.

But look at the Dem control alternative.

As others have said our solutions will not come from the ballot box.

“The Democrats, united, have actual functional control on anything they really want it on.”

Correct. I heard some GOP advisor call it an “Unworkable Majority”.

“Anyone know if the House has to approve a SC expansion?”

Apparently, both the Senate and the House must pass such a bill:

At least we have that - the House is a firewall against more lunatic spending by the senile old man in the WH.

Well, SCOTUS is gone.

But at least we keep our guns for 2 more years.

OH COOL! I thought SCOTUS could be expanded unilaterally by the House. Well, we hold back most everything for two years.

That's a pretty short time frame, though, and after that it is Katie Bar the Door.
