The Hill ^ | 11/11/22 | BY JARED GANS

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) said Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) cost the GOP in the midterm elections with their respective comments on abortion and Social Security.

Sununu said on “Julie Mason Mornings” on SiriusXM’s POTUS channel in an interview that aired on Friday that Graham “didn’t do anybody any favors” when he proposed a 15-week national abortion ban, nor did Scott with his comments in support of requiring Congress to renew Social Security every five years instead of it being automatically renewed.

#7: "Graham’s remarks … It was an idiotic move by someone who should know better. "

What makes you think he didn't know better? He did exactly what he was supposed do to help the Democrats. Graham has been in politics a long time, since the days when he was still a male. He isn't clueless. He knew exactly what he was doing and trying to accomplish.

The idea of a nation wide ban is about as constitutional as the Dems saying they want to codify Roe. It’s also verbally undermining to the recent overturning. If either of these were constitutional DOMA could be in place.

It was not idiotic It was sabotage by a treasonous little scumbag. He timed it for maximum impact. Abortion blasted past the economy as an issue immediately after that bastard started talking about a national abortion ban.

Yep. I knew the minute that jerk started going on about abortion that he was doing it to jeopardize conservatives in the midterms. He’s definitely one of the Biden-Obama-Pelosi-Schumer, et al Team.

Not stupid, but intentional, at least on the part of Graham. He’s not a stupid man. Surely he knew before he came out with that statement about a nationwide abortion ban, the harm it would do. Definitely intentional to cause maximum damage, and by golly it sure did.

“”””Florida Statewide, Republicans turned out at 64 percent of registered Republican voters, while Democrats turned out at just 50 percent of the registered Democrat voters.

Means nothing.

50% of one group can be a larger number than 64% of another group.””””

Turnout is very meaningful. It shows the level of enthusiasm between the GOP and Democrat voters.

What state are you in and what was the GOP vs DEM turnout????

That is true. Just as the gop formed to get rid of slavery and polygamy, it was always a national issue. States rights go out the window on life and liberty. Life is life. That is why so many prolife people have been aghast at the state argument over killing babies.

He knew better. That's exactly what he was after.

Why is it so hard for us to believe that commie Democrats assumed the role of Repugnants in order to gain office and torpedo conservatism?

I still have no idea what Graham was thinking. A national abortion ban is never going to happen, and it violates our belief in the 10th Amendment and the Constitutional right of states to decide things like this. For no practical reason, all he did was scare people in blue-leaning swing states that Republicans would ban abortion even if their state was overwhelmingly in favor of abortion. Foolish, foolish.

Obviously the polls where Wrong, and Sununu is correct.
Abortion was the #1 issue in this election.
Tudor Dixon was the poster child for failure in Michigan.
Nice reading the room GOP.

“ I still have no idea what Graham was thinking”

It’s obvious he was trying to make sure the GOP didn’t win a majority. Was he bribed to do this, or threatened, or simply ordered by people who own or control him? Those are the only questions I have.

Abortion is, obviously, the willful and pkanned killing of an innocent human being. That is the very definion of premeditated murder.

Youre against a ban. Why?

Is it
1) cause you want to mislead the public by not denouncing murder?
2) cuase you think premeditated murder is okay?
