We’ve got something for you if you’re looking for irregularities in your local elections. Columbia, New Hampshire. It’s way up north. A tiny little town that, according to the 2020 US Census, had 695 residents. But according to the Secretary of State, Maggie Hassan received 1,106 votes from the same town.
Don Bolduc had 193 votes.

November 8, 2022 | United States Senator | |||
Coos County | Bolduc, r | Hassan, d | Kauffman, l | Scatter |
Columbia | 193 | 1106 | 4 | 0 |
The State Website reports Columbia, NH, had 735 residents in 2019. Columbia, NH’s website says the population in 2010 was 798. Wikipedia cites a decline based on the 2020 census to 695.
How were over 1300 votes cast in a town with a population under 700 at least and under 800 at best?
Someone up there might want to request the same-day registration list. Your town doubled in size overnight.
Really? Banana Republic. Take what you can and save yourself.
I'll bet we see evidence of what you surmise.
Dis goan be gud.
Tomorrow or Monday they will probably admit the “error” but then state it was an isolated case and made no difference in the election itself. Too many people are posting about this anomaly on various sites so I suspect they will have to address it.
Yep. It’s not like we have never seen this before.
Belknap County looks normal.
Hassan [Chop!] 333K to Bolduc 277K in 2022.
I did. Ridiculous.
I’m sure Laxalt has a copy of the voter rolls and can easily see how many registered voters are in the town. It’s the mid-term so naturally the turn-out wouldn’t be as high as it would be in a Presidential election year. But, 100 or so votes added here and there wouldn’t be too noticeable. But 1000 just sort of jumps out at you
Bolduc turned Belknap WAYYY red, and nearly took Carroll County away from the Blues, where Shaheen drubbed Messner by 2,500 votes...
population in 2020: 1,731
voters in 2022: 1,128
Civic-minded folk, they are.
Based on your numbers I suspect the actual total in columbia is 106 for Hassan and somebody typed it as 1106.
Is the voting district the town or entire county? In very rural areas it could be the entire county
Looking at the normal dropoff from Shaheen to Hassan, I would go with your assessment.
I have numbers out there.
Very up north is less likely to have her voters, period. Certainly not that ratio. Let alone two votes per eligible voter.
“Take what you can and save yourself.”
In other words, Go Galt.
She registered the inhabitants in any cemetery in the area.
Remember the Democrats political slogans - a dead voter is a good voter for us
Vote early, vote often, vote Democrat!
The “D” in dead stands for “Democrat”!
