Resolute ‘America First’ proponent Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for Governor of Arizona, told her supporters that voters are “tired of shoddy elections run by imbeciles” as the state continues to wait for midterm election results to be announced.
Lake, one of Donald Trump’s most high-profile election-integrity candidates, is neck and neck with Democrat Katie Hobbs in the race for governor. But Hobbs’s grip on power is slipping away, and Lake is ready to declare her victory.
Arizona is a battleground state that could determine which party controls Congress; however, it could take several days for Democrats to get their head around the inevitable- according to Lake.
Some media are reporting that as the final batches of votes are tallied, a possible legal fight remains looming in the days and weeks ahead.
“The Lake campaign has made clear it is prepared to pursue legal action over the election, potentially over the counting of ballots and the observation of that process, according to sources familiar with the matter. A member of Lake’s legal team who requested anonymity tells TIME that “a subject matter of a lawsuit” could be “the counting of the ballots and the monitoring of the counting.” They wouldn’t say whether any specific suits were planned as of yet,” TIME reported, adding:
“Such an action could ultimately focus on the final batch of ballots—roughly 275,000 mail ballots that were delivered in person on Election Day—that will be counted on Thursday and published later that evening.”
“We’ve said from the beginning that this was going to be a tight race,” Nicole DeMont, campaign manager for the Hobbs campaign, said in a statement. “Each and every Arizonan deserves to have their ballot counted and their voice heard, and in the days to come we will continue to watch these results closely to make sure that happens.”
As of Wednesday evening, Hobbs, Arizona’s secretary of state, was leading Lake by a little more than 13,000 votes with roughly 70% of the ballots counted. Hobbs took a commanding lead on Tuesday night after winning the early mail-in votes by roughly 14 percentage points. Lake then closed the gap through her lead with voters who cast ballots in person on Election Day.
That leaves those roughly 275,000 ballots from Arizonans who voted absentee but who either dropped off their ballots on Election Day or whose ballots arrived by mail on Election Day. An Arizona election official familiar with the matter who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the governor’s race expected those votes to be split evenly between Democrats, Independents, and Republicans.
Lake campaign retweeted a tweet Wednesday evening about the vote tabulation machine errors in one huge AZ county:
“MESSAGE FROM BOS: To impacted voters, we recognize this isn’t how you pictured Election Day & we apologize for that inconvenience. We are committed to counting all legal votes and then finding the root cause of what happened so that it does not happen again.”

Arizona Republicans are banking on those ballots leaning toward Lake. They say that many Republicans stayed on the absentee voter rolls after 2020 but weren’t comfortable mailing in their ballots or voting early. It’s a trend that remains a legacy of former President Donald Trump’s bashing of voting by mail as being rife with fraud, despite no substantial evidence to support that claim, which he became especially vocal about two years ago, as many states expanded mail voting to facilitate elections amid the pandemic.
The Hobbs campaign informed its supporters on Wednesday that it’s embarking on a process to reach out to Arizonans who voted absentee but who then received a notice that their ballot wouldn’t be processed until a problem was addressed, what’s known as the “cures process” in elections parlance.
A Hobbs campaign spokesperson confirmed to TIME that the campaign is being represented by the Elias Law Group, a Washington D.C.-based firm headed by the Democratic Party’s leading elections attorney.
Lake joined Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night. Kari told Tucker Carlson that they would start to see the election going in her direction. And Kari dropped some incredible news on the 650,000 remaining ballots that need to be counted.
Kari Lake: “Well I feel 100% certain I am going to win. The question is how big will that win be? Can you believe this, Tucker? We still have 650,000 votes that have not been counted. And guess who these voters are? They’re the people who showed up on election day. They’re the people, 275,000 of them are people who brought their ballot to polls on election day because they don’t trust the mail and they don’t trust the drop boxes. So guess who those voters are? They’re our voters. And we’re only down by a few thousand votes right now. When those votes come in we’re going to see a lot of liberal minds kind of blowing up.”

“I’m not over being disenfranchised yet, I’m sure Trump isn’t over being robbed.”
I think that’s why PDJT seems to be losing it now. The seven years of torture finally is getting to him. I don’t blame him; I feel sorry for him and hope he feels better.
Debbie Downers ......anyone can be a Debbie Downer.
Charlie had a good show yesterday. I enjoy that almost as much as War Room.
Nasty? Are we being a little sensitive?
“especially since her opponent is the SOS.”
It should be a viable issue if this ever hits SCOTUS.
Don’t go with what you hear when you can see for yourself.
Kelley’s lead has increased to 115k votes, up from 85k yesterday and Hobbs is up by 27k, up from 13k yesterday.
Boy....you sure don’t know DEMOCRATS!!
The persecution he and his family have suffered has been near biblical. The man is a true patriot, driven, I think, by duty rather than ego. He has a very important role to play in saving the country. I just don’t know if that role is at the top of the ticket.
Agree
I’ve been saying the same thing.

I have not heard that their leads are growing. I’ve heard the opposite.

What are the totals for each now?

unbubba, "heard it on the grapevine" or read it on the internet, or just said, "source, I don't need no stinken source".
There was a time on FR that many posters would point to a specific source for their statements, but, today, not so much.
The Democrats now know the formula for winning. They screw around and mess around with the vote counting until they get the vote count the way they want it even if it takes days or even weeks. Kari has high hopes but I personally think she will lose in the end.
TIK-TOC?
Thanks!
Based on currently posted numbers, Lake is behind 27k votes. Using their % votes counted, approx 345k ballots to count. To make up the difference, Lake needs approx 54% of remaining ballots
