"I know, I know. The wet dream of total economic/financial collapse must live on." My meaning was the stock market goes up, the stock market goes down. Were the markets reacting to "improving" inflation news? Who knows. Maybe they were reacting to the realization that the GOP is going to end up controlling both chambers. Maybe they were reacting to the gravitational effects of the waning blood moon phase. Maybe none of us can accurately predict anything when it comes to something like the stock market.
It's all informed guesses.
