MADISON, Wis. — Fresh off a win in his re-election bid, Democratic Gov. Tony Evers on Wednesday focused on abortion and education as his main priorities for his second term.
During a visit to O’Keeffe Middle School in Madison Wednesday afternoon, Evers said he would continue pursuing a lawsuit Attorney General Josh Kaul filed earlier this year in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court decision curtailing abortion rights.

Abortion, Evers said, was a key issue among younger voters he spoke with on the campaign trail, and while he said he would “look at” a proposal put forth by Republican lawmakers, the issue is one on which he believes bipartisan legislation will be unlikely.
The lawsuit, though, is on “good solid ground,” Evers said.
“I don’t see a way to solve this legislatively,” Evers said. “I think it’s going to have to happen in the courts.”
The governor also said he hopes to work with politicians from both sides of the aisle on education funding, highlighting the importance of schools in rural communities across the state in areas represented by Republicans.
While Evers defeated Republican businessman Tim Michels, other Republicans, including incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson, defeated their Democratic opponents.
On that topic, Evers said he’s “still trying to wrap my arms around” the fact that it appears a number of voters cast ballots for him and Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, “but at the end of the day I also know that there are issues that transcend politics.”
If you're aborting all the babies, why do we need schools? Isn't that kind of racists to provide education to the kids that make it out of the womb?
Oh, wait. It's not MUCH of an education, so there's that.
*SPIT*
Got to kill the kids, and for the ones that make it, be sure to indoctrinate them.
That is why we’ve lost this country.
WI is NOT a blue state You have BIG Legeslative majorities there. Evers will be able to do nothing.

That’s what’s kept us afloat for the past four years. And now we have to do it for ANOTHER four. It’s exhausting! ;)
