On Wednesday’s broadcast of NBC’s “MTP Now,” New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) argued that while Republicans play the crime “card really well, it feels like they do it every couple of years.” The records of Democrats on the issue won out.
Murphy stated, “Finally — our party is quite famously lousy on a coherent, specific message. I think we got there. And the good news is, we had a substantive story to tell when you look at the historic bills that were passed in Congress and signed and led by the president. So, we had a substantive story. We finally told that story. Secondly, I think Roe v. Wade or Dobbs…was in the back of folk’s mind[s] and it impacted a lot of decisions in terms of voting. I think, thirdly, the democracy craziness finally took hold. And listen, crime is out there. The Republicans play that card really well, it feels like they do it every couple of years. But they didn’t play the card that says what are we going to do about it nearly as well. And I think records sort of won out on that basis. New Jersey, for instance, we’ve got a significant decrease in violent crimes, folks were able to make that case.

While I'm happy(if reps take House and/or Senate)nationally...
...the dems DID (complete) cleaning house here in Michigan.
Dems now control state house/senate(first time in 40 years?), both senate seats, Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, state supreme court, majority congressional seats(with new dem advantage redistricting they'll likely increase those), won all their abortion/protect voter fraud Ballot Proposals(where were the Rep's NOW FORMER majority, AGAIN?), dog catcher, street sweeper...they now OWN (what WAS) an important swing state after basically 2018,2020,2022 sweeps.
Democrats had NOTHING to run on in 2022, with trump gone, a demented pResident/pedo Biden, and an inflationary economy squeezing everybody...it was a perfect "it's the economy, stupid" scenario to bury the sitting political party.
...then came the Roe decision.
...and with it they could now ignore economic issues completely(with THEIR media's help)and laser focus on abortion! abortion! abortion!...to wake the woke generation(s).
...and(at least here in Michigan)...it worked like a charm.
So my question(and I'm sure a lot of conservatives also)...after almost 50 years, why THIS ("VERY" important election) year?...knowing full well it gives the dems a HUGE bull-horn issue when they were mired in quicksand?
...especially, seeing as with new dem(state)majorities legislation/proposals(like Michigan), it now only makes more murder, more(not less)likely, does it not?
So who's "brilliant" idea was it? Roberts? Alito? Mole/Saboteur?...
Look, I get it, "voter fraud" yada yada yada...Michigan has always been at the forefront with Detroit/Wayne Co voter dump in the middle of the night LONG before covid/mail-in for everyone became a thing. I blame the lackluster/ball-less Michigan Republican legislature(and former "rep." Gov.)for much of that mess.
...but this should have been a slam-dunk...same as 2020(before dem collusion with China/Covid provided them a savior). Like covid, the timing of this was perfect, giving enough time for dem/media to torpedo any Republican advantage.
...only THIS one was done BY a(so-called)"conservative" court. WTF, it doesn't save 1 life, and costs the opportunity for Republicans to save more, does it not?
We all know there are sinister forces at work here...but this was an unforced political blunder of epic proportions.
We can't ask dem-trash for accountability...but what about our own?
Someone has to answer for this boondoggle, will conservatives demand answers, or go back to bed as usual?
