Trump did his best to pick Conservative candidates to
replace RINOs. I don’t agree with all the picks, but
by far and large, the people going to be sworn in in
early January, will be by far more Conservative than
the RINOs they replaced.
We won the House! It doesn’t impress you that Nancy
Pelosi will quit, and that we will have far more
Conservative Republicans in the House?
Tell me the last time a guy with Trump’s clout did the
sort of thing he just pulled off. Who was it?
We get to control the agenda in the House, the committees,
the subpoenas, the assignments to serve on committees.
We may win the Senate also. It remains to be seen. The
Republican members going to the Senate this next term will
also be more Conservative.
We have had very little but RINOs in both the Senate and the
House. We will now have a body of Conservatives in there.
When did we last have thirty or forty of them in the House?
We have more people than we did. We also have replaced a
number of RINOs. Tell me that isn’t a great achievement.
This goes beyond Washington also. We have a number of
pro-life Governors and other office holders remaining or
coming to office for the first time. You’re not happy
about that?
Trump’s picks, over 200 of them won their races. Sixteen
didn’t. Damn, considering a lot of these folks are solid
Conservatives, I have no idea what folks are thinking when
they want to thank Trump by trashing him and acting as if
he didn’t do diddly squat.
What I just mentioned is a very big accomplishment.
You are right to point this out. Whether majority of not, The republicans’ caucus in both chambers will be noticeably stronger and more conservative than they were last session. You can thank Donald Trump for that, and the work he has done since 2016.
