Democratic edge shrinks in Arizona Senate, governor races

PHOENIX (AP) — Margins between Democrats and Republicans narrowed considerably Wednesday in key Arizona races as election officials chipped away at counting more than half a million mail ballots returned on Election Day and shortly before.

Democrats maintained small but dwindling leads in key races for U.S. Senate, governor and secretary of state, while Republicans were optimistic the late-counted ballots would break heavily in their favor, as they did in 2020.

It could take several days before it’s clear who won some of the closer contests.

With Republicans still in the hunt, it remained unclear whether the stronger-than-expected showing for Democrats would extend to Arizona, a longtime Republican stronghold that became a battleground during Donald Trump’s presidency.

The GOP nominated a slate of candidates who earned Trump’s endorsement after falsely claiming his loss to President Joe Biden was tainted

That won’t be for long the outstanding votes are Lakes…Charlie Kirk thinks she wins by anywhere from 150 to 220 thousand votes

Kirk knows nothing. Hobbs and the McCain mafia will work together to deny Lake.

“True, they may not be stellar, but they get us the committees and committee heads.”

#################

Which, as Gaetz said at the Trump rally, that means they get to set the hearings agendas, and get more than 5 minutes with those they call.

Not really. They simply get to participate if they are
named to a committee by the person assigned to lead the
committee, or the Senate Majority leader.

The Majority leader is in control of those things, I
believe.

Kari Lake an hour ago on Tucker:

“I feel 100% certain I’m going to win…We’re only down by a few thousand votes right now, when those votes come in we’re gonna see a lot of liberal minds blowing up.”

I'm gonna go with what Kari says instead of all the FR Trolls and doom-and-gloomers.

That is a 15% swing. I do not think that is possible.

I think the soundbite from Masters about "privatizing Social Security" hurt him. A lot.

From: “A Survey of House and Senate Committee Rules on Subpoenas”

Updated November 12, 2021

In the summary, “Most House committees have also delegated to their chair the power to authorize subpoenas.”

https://sgp.fas.org/crs/misc/R44247.pdf

So, the protocol is that only the House committee chairs have subpoena power. A huge perk to being in the majority.

Agreed.

These are important things that we won yesterday.

San Fran Nan is going home. And we accomplished very little?

That’s a massive accomplishment.

Yes, the things accomplished this election cycle are enormous.

Did we get everything? No.

But the media, Dems, and RINOs will focus on what we could NOT get done, which pales in comparison to what we DID get done.

I, for one, will sleep quite well. I’m sure you will, too.

Candidate Votes Pct.
Mark Kelly DEM* 979,509 51.43%
Blake Masters GOP 884,191 46.43%
Marc Victor LIB 40,811 2.14%

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Masters is 95k down, but Charlie Kirk and others are confident of victory because there are still several hundred thousand votes allegedly from predominately Republican districts where the machines malfunctioned and are not yet counted.

That’s essentially what Kari Lake said on Tucker Carlson.

I sure will.

We had Conservatives running in Blue states. Did we really
expect all of them to win?

These same people were complaining because he picked
Conservatives and they didn’t think they could win. They
did. Over 200 of them did, and only 16 didn’t.

Oz was one of the ones who didn’t. Is anyone that torn up
over that considering?
