Your folks didn’t waste any time. Most babies were born V-E or V-J +9 mo.

“I started really looking at my life, the world, importance of family and country at age 35.”

At 40, I stopped wasting time with losers mainly liberals in my life.

It drove my wife, mother, friends, relatives and my pastor to wondering what had happened.

I told them, I was refusing to waste what time I had left on losers.

This past week, I just turned 84, so it has worked for me.

Liked your post. It points to the necessity of reclaiming the education system

It points to the necessity of reclaiming the education system

With the exception of a handful of Governors like DeSantis and Youngkin, few GOP Governors have made the necessary K-12 reforms in their state AND supported non woke Board members. This MUST be a priority of all GOP governors and the Federal elected Republicans need to lend support as they can.

Why is this a surprise? Such has it ever been. The only thing that’s disturbing about the youth at present is how unbelievably docile and needy they all are, particularly the young men. But here’s the interesting thing. Every person I speak to over the age of 40 — even the leftists — complains bitterly about them. I think a lot of hard life lessons are coming for this cohort in the near future.

Silent generation 1925-1945, the generation of the 1960s activists and musicians/bands.

Apparently as humans we cannot be contented with success and having it easy.

I like the below quote from the God Father. It applies here.

“These things gotta happen every five years or so, ten years. Helps to get rid of the bad blood.” Sad that this has to happen but it is who we are as humans but maybe we need to get our asses kicked. Crazy!

****

Michael: How bad do you think it's gonna be?

Clemenza: Pretty goddam bad. Probably all the other Families will line up against us. That's all right. These things gotta happen every five years or so, ten years. Helps to get rid of the bad blood. Been ten years since the last one. You know, you gotta stop them at the beginning. Like they should have stopped Hitler at Munich, they should never let him get away with that, they was just asking for trouble.
