Was hoping for enough change in power to legalize freedom again. As conservatives we are wise enough not to try to have the government run everything and solve all our problems. Just want them to have less power, because they sure misuse it when they get it.

Look around the country and how each state conducts its elections, Florida has between 7.5 to 8 million votes cast, counted, and the election was certified in less than 4 hours, Florida doesn’t have mail in voting or unattended drop boxes.

Other states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, etc. all have far looser election laws with far fewer people voting and yet we told it could be this weekend before the election results are known

If elections are allowed to drag on past Election Day, Democrats will continue to cheat and win, unless that changes we are stuck with what we have today

I thought Trump didn’t drink. You can’t possibly be sober and come to that conclusion.

This is not a win but a great loss.

There was ONE winner, DeSantis. He won by being a true conservative who never backs down and takes the battle to the enemy. How many of our losing candidates can say that?

The the loss I see tonight is the TDS displayed by FReepers.

President Trump has done more for our nation than any other President in our modern age, even more than President Reagan.   I can say that, because President Reagan didn't have to face the evil Democrat Socialists we have today.   Back in 1980 the Democrats had conservatives that held the radicals in check and the liberal Democrats still loved the United States.   I am ashamed of the FReepers attempting to blame President Trump for not being the a spineless fool that is all peaches and cream that you dream of.

Nice, but not so nice as the most important ones were lost. And, by the way, did Trump’s PAC support any of these candidates? I heard earlier this evening that part of the problem was that he didn’t put up any money to support any of his recommendations, even while people complained that McConnell pulled money from these same contests.

It was definitely a disastrous night on a national scale.

When it all shakes out, I’m curious how the state legislatures went. We need those states to pass laws to protect the vote.

I think that most of those endorsements by President Trump were state seats and not national.

Ugh, just trying to find a silver lining.

Something about this election is not making sense. Given the dynamics of today - record inflation, layoffs, gas prices, collapsing housing market, war, debt, a bumbling vegetable president… you would expect the party of the president in power to be driven out of town. Yet for the most part they survived unscathed. The Democrat candidate for governor in AZ refused to debate her charismatic Republican challenger who was widely expected to win. She seemed unconcerned about how it could hurt her chances. Almost like Biden hiding in his basement during 2020 unconcerned while Trump was campaigning his arse off. I also remember Nancy Pelosi saying at least once that she was confident of Democrats doing well (!) while everything pointed to a red tsunami. There was something going on below the radar. I don’t mean just fraud. Fraud was certainly one aspect of it but it was more than fraud. They must have had data. They had the numbers to show they were going to do well and were keeping quiet about it. I am not sure what it is. If I had to make a wild guess I would say some sophisticated technology for micro targeting / micro messaging and get out the vote from Google. They did something similar in 2012. Conventional wisdom said Obama was going to lose reelection given the circumstances of the day - and then ended up winning comfortably. Whatever it was will come out over the next few days. I am sure articles by embedded journalists are already written.
