I celebrated Thanksgiving day two times, in the same 24 hours!

Took off on Thanksgiving day in Guam, landed in Hawaii the day before Thanksgiving, and then landed in Okinawa on the same Thanksgiving day, that I had left that morning! LOL!

I knew a Hispanic guy who was born on Guam. His family was Spanish(dad was US military), but his Mom was born in the Philippians. His mom was orphaned in the Philippians when the Japanese took over. The Japs came into their town and executed all the town leaders including his grand parents. Cut their heads off with swords in front of their children.

When the US took over he islands she met and married a US soldier and eventually moved to Guam. When I last spoke to my friend him and his siblings had been in a decade long battle to get back the 1000s of acres that were stolen from them during the Japanese invasion.
