Watching Fox News.

It looks like Vance is underperforming in northeast Ohio.

There’s a lot of votes to be counted - but it doesn’t look good so far.

True. Lots of Dems leaving CA go to Austin, CO, and other states and then... vote Dem! They’re like locusts.

Beto is doing shockingly well. Scary

According to the NYT, 26% of the votes are in and Abbott has 51.4% to O'Rourke 47.5%.

Most of the votes are from Travis County (Austin) , which went 75-25 for O'Rourke. Austin has 61% of the votes in.

In Dallas, 52% of the votes are in and O'Rourke has 64/35 of that, with half to go.

Houston has not reported yet, nor San Antonio, nor the panhandle, nor west Texas.

“The Early Vote Blog from the Nevada Independent has been quite since 7AM this morning. I task that as a good sign here in Nevada.”

I hope you are correct.

Do we have any North Carolina FReepers here tonight?

I'm from Charlotte. Budd has been closing the gap by huge numbers as Election Day votes are counted.

Dems stole the Senate in 2020 and probably enough again to keep it this time, but the GOP also ran some weak candidates.

Ohio trending purple again. Split the vote between Dewine and Ryan. Looking very likely Dems take firm control of the senate.

NC demographically is turning a darker shade of purple. Think Charlotte and the Triad. That and Budd was just bland on the campaign and had little media presence . The counting is not over, but this looks like a Democrat senate pickup.

Best I know of is the NYT Needle:
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/11/08/us/elections/results-needle-forecast.html

If you give your email address you can drill down to any particular race and see the total votes in vs. the number remaining. Based on their algorithms “Our best estimate is the race is leaning toward Budd”.

Walker is closing up big time in GA. Behind by less than 40,000 votes now, about 1.7 points and closing by the minute (from watching NY Times site).
