GOP mega-donor Ken Griffin said it is time for the Republican Party to move on from former President Donald Trump and look toward a new party leader. Griffin said in an interview with Politico that he supported the Trump administration's fiscal policies, but that he believes the party should gravitate toward other GOP stars. "He did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas," Griffin said. "And for a litany of reasons, I think it's time to move on to the next generation."

Who is more independent from the Mega Donors and the Deep State?
BTTT
Trump is interesting in that he has held his policy views for quite some time. He knows how to execute. He knows how to lead and how to motivation. But most importantly he is independent from the Mega Donor Morons who have been running and ruining this country for decades.
I can understand that. It was mean spirited. MAGA people are not mean spirited..at least the ones I know.
“ It might also indicate his preoccupation with an immediately impending election. But feel free to engage in your regular DJT bootlicking at an un-abated pace.”

When one cannot debate effectively, resort to insults. Defending a man that knows media is fracturing the rep base and does nothing to reverse it speaks for itself…..and exposes your character. But feel free to hurl baseless insults if that is the best you can do, Good luck…
“ De Santis has stated that if Trump runs he will sit it out.”
———————————
Many here have stated this many times, including me. Unfortunately many here refuse to read anything and continue to indulge in the weekly Trump vs DeSantis nonsense. This is being pushed by RINOS, media and Dems and it is effective.
DeSantis needs to publicly state (repeatedly) that he is not running. Otherwise, this crap will continue to fracture the base for many more months. Sad that so many here engage in this…..DeSantis can stop this at any time. I predict he won’t until the official campaigning begins which is very self serving on his part.
Are you sure about that? Everything I’ve seen says he hasn’t said that, and its why some of Trump’s strongest supporters are not happy with him because they believe he should say that.
I did see an article but cannot find it. But here is an article in 10/21 stating he wasn’t going to run. If he decides a lot of people in Florida will not be happy.

But what if Trump cannot run, for whatever reason, what is the “Plan B”?
2028 is DeSantis’s for the taking. It will take a minimum of 12 years to undo the damage done since Biden took office. Trump once, DeSantis twice.
I’m holding out for a Trump/DeSantis ticket.
“???????? DeSantis should state whether or not he is running 2024, surely he’s not too busy to do that. He knows that media and RINOS are pushing this Trump vs DeSantis 2024 to divide voters. DeSantis could put a stop to that but won’t do it. WHY??????? Because he wants the donations. What matters more? Money or uniting the republican voters? DeSantis chooses money….”
Trump should announce first. DeSantis could decide after that. Again, win reelection first, worry about the White House after that.
“ But what if Trump cannot run, for whatever reason, what is the “Plan B”?”
—————————-
Plan B is DeSantis. As far as I know candidates can change their mind. In no way would I want DeSantis ‘disqualified’ if Trump is not running for whatever reason. But that does not stop DeSantis from saying, “I am not running if Trump runs”.
My main point: stop the RINO plan of dividing the base, that’s all.
DeSantis Telling Donors He Won’t Challenge Trump in 2024, Per Report
Sources told me DeSantis recently indicated to donors that he would not challenge Trump for the Republican nomination. “He’s led them to believe he will not run if Trump does,” a Republican briefed on the donor conversations told me. Another source told me DeSantis’s calculus is that, at age 44, he can easily wait until the next presidential cycle, so why risk a brutal primary fight against a pugilist like Trump? “He can walk into the presidency in 2028 without pissing off Trump or Florida,” the source said.
“ Trump should announce first. DeSantis could decide after that. Again, win reelection first, worry about the White House after that.”
————————-
I would accept that assuming he handles the topic soon after. I hope he does but I don’t believe he will for these reasons:
1. Not stating his plans benefits him, not Trump or the voters
2. Money continues to flow from Trump haters especially big donors.
Where is Trump more powerful? Being able to influence so many state elections or as president? I dare say he is more powerful out of office. And I just am not hopeful that the democrats will ever lose the presidency again. Their cheating is so pervasive and their bureaucracy is so powerful they don’t need to worry about it. Who will stop them? Mitch? The FBI? It’s going to have to start small and get the bureaucrats and state offices cleared out. And Trump is showing he has a powerful political machine to do that.
Well stated.
“2. Money continues to flow from Trump haters especially big donors.”
Trump haters more than likely are going to hate DeSantis. The Trump haters will go for Cheney, or some other RINO who the left thinks are disaffected conservatives.
Patience is a virtue. There are a lot of moving parts between now and January 1, 2023. This all has to shake out. My bet is if the Republicans convincingly take both houses, a couple of governorships and local seats, Trump will announce sooner rather than later.
DeSantis has not stayed quiet on the issue, he said he would not run against President Trump.
DeSantis Telling Donors He Won’t Challenge Trump in 2024, Per Report
The DeSantis versus Trump talk has been fabricated by the Leftist media to divide us and come FReepers seem to relish it.
