SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (AP) — With the world on “a highway to climate hell with our foot on the accelerator,″ the United Nations chief on Monday told dozens of leaders to ”cooperate or perish,” on avoiding further climate catastrophe, singling out the two biggest polluting countries, China and the United States.
He was not the only one preaching with tones of fire and brimstone, alternating with pathos and tragedy, trying to shake up the world’s sense of urgency at this year’s annual U.N. climate conference. “Choose life over death,” former U.S. Vice President Al Gore urged. “It is not time for moral cowardice.”
In calling for a massive overhaul of international development loans and a 10% tax on fossil fuel companies that made “$200 billion in profits in the last three months,” Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley said, “Our people on this Earth deserve better.”
“Humanity has a choice: cooperate or perish,” Guterres said. “It is either a Climate Solidarity Pact – or a Collective Suicide Pact.”
Guterres insisted, “Today’s urgent crises cannot be an excuse for backsliding or greenwashing.”

You can’t compare the filth that is China with the US. All this is simply to soak money from the West. Anyone who believes in man made climate change is an idiot. Anyone selling it is a grifter.
The climate "crisis" is a hoax, among the many hoaxes operating today. Each carries the markers of forecasts of catastrophe, the demand to surrender to the message, and, tellingly, "send money."
Resistance is not futile, as anyone who knows the end of all our stories.
These UN goals should not be one size fits all, but alas it is about control.
Another coal plant shut down goal is on the table in Monroe, Michigan; to be replaced by wind and solar in eight years.
Wonder if they will keep nuclear power plant running.
As with quite a number of other articles posted, one after another, this “final warning” of sorts from the climate change scam artists appears in the FR list next to Biden's “final warning” about the election tomorrow.
Is it not interesting how the ‘messaging” is becoming so transparent and repetitive. Chutzpah.

Yes, choose nice, developed life with plenty of energy or freeze or starve to death after applying Al Gore “solutions”.
Al Gore does not care, he has enough money to survive even his hell.
If all of this was born out of true concern and wanting to help humanity they wouldn’t politicize it and they go about this very differently. For example, they would one pushing China a lot harder. They would push to prevent deforestation in South America. They would push for nuclear energy - with an emphasis on making the safest nuclear power plants. They would be making major efforts to lead by example (e.g. Politicians would stay in their districts and meet by Zoom. They would travel by domestic carrier or by train. They would live in smaller energy efficient homes. etc.).
What they wouldn’t do if they were truly sincere is support and/or propagate wars. They wouldn’t buy oceanfront homes. They wouldn’t have big Summits/meetings that everyone has to travel to. They wouldn’t shut down our domestic energy production and buy oil etc. from countries that pollute a lot more during energy production than we do.
AND, they wouldn’t put their ‘sincerity’ in question by owning stock etc. in companies and technology that will benefit greatly by altering energy policy.

Climate Change is a scare tactic for Big Government to raise taxes (carbon pricing) and Big Business to cut expenses (go paperless) so the little people end up paying.

If the US alone would simply remove all funding from all UN programs, they would have no power.
