November brings Nicole and mid-term elections. Nicole has developed with subtropical characteristics in the Atlantic Ocean, taking aim for storm weary Florida.
A subtropical system has some central convection fairly near the center surrounding a warming core existing in the mid-levels of the troposphere. Nicole may further develop into a tropical storm.

OMG! Did I hear some of those buildings are 19 stories tall, with more than 100 people in one building? Yikes!

It is an art! We’ve perfected coffee on the grill too, when nobody around has power. Frances/Jeanne made warriors out of us!

YES! I cannot grasp the thinking of anyone who would STAY when the seawall is shot- one building already collapsed this morning and yet...they stayed..

Put a piece of tape over each of your outside door keyholes. Nothing elaborate that will be difficult to remove. Just a bit of tape to cover the hole. Otherwise, you risk them getting packed with sand, requiring something to blast the sand out later. Another valuable lesson learned from Frances/Jeanne.

Yep. Every time I do a search for the storm, it comes back as updated a day ago, 11 hours ago, last week. Something isn’t being reported here like it should be. No “spaghetti “ models, weather networks being very coy and just plain weird in “reporting”

I am thinking now the no news zone is because of the high rises in Daytona, every body is waiting for one to fall.

Jim Cantore has gone to Daytona - that tells me they may be expecting some drama.

Seems everyone was focused on Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel Island after Ian’s initial landfall.

Those places have been beat up for years. It’s not surprising but very sad. And our weather media will blame it on “climate change” instead of they shouldn’t have built there.
