I am sitting between Matanzas River and the Atlantic.

River is up about 4 feet. Its never came over the wall praying it doesnt.

The Atlantic is screaming I am guessing 10 foot waves now. they are saying could be 24 feet according to radio. this is already bad washing the beach out.

Check out u tube videos (there is a lot) in Daytona durning Ian, the ocean went behind the seawalls....some high rises have already been evicted...

That's a pretty narrow strip of land. Kind of like a barrier island. What's the elevation?

I am not sure but what I figuared is this spot is about 8 feet above sea level I could be wrong. Never flooded never hit since 1973 that I know of. Hope its not our turn...

My husband just asked me if we should evacuate?
I can’t even believe this is coming.
As a crow flies, we are maybe 20 minutes from the beach.

I volunteered at the precinct today…..we had to take the canvas off the tent……strong strong winds

Brevard County is issuing a recommended evacuation for parts of Brevard County starting 0700 Nov. 9.

Evacuation is recommended for the following groups:

Residents who live on the barrier islands, including areas from Kennedy Space Center south beaches, and Merritt Island
Residents in mobile homes or manufactured housing
Residences in low-lying, flood-prone areas
Any residents with special medical needs such as electrical dependence

South Santee River SC and from the Suwannee River FL to the
Ochlockonee River FL.

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued north of Altamaha Sound
GA to South Santee River, SC.

Coconuts! Took a boat ride after Hurricane Ian. There were coconuts floating all over the place. Very glad none of the neighbors have coconut palms. Cannon fodder is a great description.

A soda straw will penitrate a palm tree just like a coconut will go through a window

Random falling trees. Like artillery. Can’t tell where they’re landing.

Marietta GA is some 600 miles from the sea. 1000 foot elevation. Lost 4 people in hurricanes when trees fell on them while driving.
