Elon Musk Bent the Knee, and Now He's Going to Learn a Valuable Lesson
RedState ^ | NOVEMBER 04 2022 | Bonchie

Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter set hair ablaze from the start, and things have only escalated over the last week. The billionaire’s reshaping of the social media giant started with the top executives at the company, including chief censor Gadde Vijaya, getting kicked to the curb. On Friday, that expanded to seeing over half the company’s workforce laid off.

====== SNIP ======

Elon Musk @elonmusk · Follow Twitter will not allow anyone who was de-platformed for violating Twitter rules back on platform until we have a clear process for doing so, which will take at least a few more weeks 4:55 AM · Nov 2, 2022

When that tweet went out, it set off alarm bells on the right. Why was Musk giving bad-faith actors who had spent years trying to silence their political opponents a seat at the table? Everything that was wrong with Twitter in the before times hinged on the leftwing censorship pushed by such people and entities. And to throw in ‘The Bush Center’ as the token conservative representative among a sea of far-left social justice grifters? It felt like a joke. What was the point of buying the platform for $44 billion if Musk was just going to hand it over to the very people who want to destroy him and his vision?

Sure enough, after getting down on one knee and kissing the ring, Musk now finds his platform being boycotted by the very organizations he sought to appease.

ADL · Nov 4, 2022 @ADL · Follow Today, we are joining dozens of other groups to ask advertisers to pause Twitter spending because we are profoundly concerned about antisemitism and hate on the platform. Here's why we're asking advertisers to #StopHateForProfit and #StopToxicTwitter🧵

ou cannot negotiate with progressives. That is the point here.

You go through the motions. You use it to find their weak points. You make them say their side out loud. You put them in the spotlight. Sometimes you get surprised, they do give in. most often not.

Just look closely at what Musk does. He has not said he is giving in to them.

Musk said on Monday that he recommends people follow Yoel Roth “for the most accurate understanding of what’s happening with trust & safety at Twitter.”

I don’t dislike Musk. My jury is still out on him. I am not for dissing him right out of the gate. I also think we have to give it time before we jump on the bandwagon.

He shows some signs I like, but we we shall see.

I don’t dislike Musk.

Remember that our heros used to be anyone that batted over 50%

Personally, in my life if I am winning more than I am losing, I’m doing pretty good.....................

This drivel, of course overlooks the many people who are back on Twitter after being ejected. Nice try.
Actions not word salad is a better measure of what is happening.

Musk already bent the knee to the NAACP/ADL crazies, and all they did after that was to actively campaign for advertisers to strop advertising on Twitter.
Musk needs to immediately distance himself from the crazy NAACP/ADL crazies. at once.

“”They (democRATS)get their way or else.””

Even when they ‘get their way’ they are mad, angry, self centered juveniles. They never grow up, and they feeeeel their way through life. As Rush often stated, they wake up every day mad, and work to maintain their angry selves each and every day. If you kowtow to them, they just use it to state ‘see, see’ and keep on attacking.

Also, I remember when an attempted boycott of Rush (there were thousands) began to obtain a little steam. Rush performed a deeper investigation and determined that 9-10 people on Twitter had worked hard to make them appear to be hundreds of thousands. All fake. So when he demonstrated this to the advertisers, all but one returned to the fold. Rush always loved to state they had confiscatory advertising rates, because at any moment millions and millions of people were listening. I remember when Snapple began advertising on Rush. Their sales increased to the point that they needed to build more factory space. Such was the ability of Rush to reach millions. The wackos even tried to go after Snapple as racist (what else is news) because there is a letter K inside a circle on the Snapple label. The wackos stated it was the KKK. The rest of us knew it means Kosher.

Well, at the end of the day, its going to be really hard for these far left "advertisers” to really get Musk.
Musk is too rich and runs too many very powerful companies for a GM ad boycott to do him much harm.
For example, right now, Tesla spends zero dollars on advertising, but they could start advertising, but put all their advertising dollars on Twitter.

The liberals may have abandoned Twitter for now, but they will be back. They will allow a platform they once owned to be a site of rational conservative discussion. They believe their core function in life is to control other people.

The liberals may have abandoned Twitter for now, but they will be back.

Hopefully NOT.
Musk wants to get Twitter to have billions of active members, not the current just over 200 million. and most of the new users will come from outside America.
But first, Musk needs to lose them crazy far left “content moderators” and some of the far left members.

Too many skip right past that. Everyone needs a hero I guess. Even if they end up being disappointed.
