Will the former Twitter employees have to surrender their FIB badges now?

WHY such a long pay period?

That is a month too long by Calif law.

Calif requires 60 days.

MUSK is paying them for 90 days.

That’s a pretty sweet severance package. And it gives ‘em plenty of time to find another job.

If I was Musk I would bring in IT people from my other companies to oversee what happens. Twitter IT might be allowed to be there and advise, but not allowed to physically touch a keyboard.

That’s a very generous severance package.

Three months of pay while not working.

It is good PR because then he’s not screwing people over just before the holidays and it gives them plenty of time to find other employment with a nice safety net built in.

I’m reading there will be lots of lawsuits by fired employees.

For what, though. He's paying them for a full three months while they are not working.

It's not like he hung them out to dry.

“ And Twitter is still up and running. How could that be with no one working? lol”
**********************************************************

Yep…. amazing. And here on the East Coast the sun still rose and it a nice sunny day. And I’m sure when Trump is re-elected and, having wised up, abolishes the FBI, replaces it with a new Agency and the new Agency is VERY PICKY when deciding which old FBI employees are hired by the new Agency… THE SUN WILL AGAIN COME UP IN THE MORNING!

The Tech employment market is deteriorating. I’d bet Twitter is the first of many layoffs.

The extra month could be the hook. If you sue, you are gone after 60 days. If you sign and leave quietly, you get 90 days.

the lawsuits were all predicated on them being terminated today, and were based on some absurd law requiring 60 days notice. Since that’s not what is actually happening, they have no lawsuits to file.

The Tech employment market is deteriorating. I’d bet Twitter is the first of many layoffs.

Most, if not all of them are young enough to learn new skills.

SpaceX always seems to be hiring. I have friends who work at the location near me. They’d have to truly work, though.

Wow, 3 months of pay without having to work.

How can I get in on that?

Step one: "Hate America"
Step two: Ahhh...I doubt you want any more steps.
