What indication do you see of a recession at a grocery store?

You mean besides half empty shelves?

While there are in fact items not available in grocery stores, unless you live somewhere in the extreme boondocks, shelves are not half empty.

I counter with the anecdote that trucks still clog I 81 and commerce seems to be chugging along and lots and lots of goods being delivered.

It is my view that the recession is at present far from uniform across America although that doesn’t mean it will not become so.
