Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is calling out former President Donald Trump for not spending more of his $100 million war chest to boost Republican Senate candidates ahead of next week’s midterm elections.
In an episode of his podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” that aired on Monday, Cruz lamented that Trump had spent “almost none” of his massive cash reserves in key Senate races, arguing that it should be up to the former president to provide crucial air cover for candidates whom he has endorsed.

The point is Ted was pointing out all the things he wish were better. It doesn’t mean he’s attacking those people, it’s the media that want to start a Republican civil war. Don’t fall for it.
Trump supporters don’t need to be so defensive, Trump isn’t perfect and they don’t need to act as though he is above any criticism. Our enemy is the leftist democrats and the leftist media. Focus our fire on them and not let them redirect it to each other.
This thread will worm the NeverTrumper’s out.
But he did call out Mitch.
The reason the headline didn’t focus on that is because the Hill is trying to get conservatives to fight each other. Don’t fall for it.
I like Cruz, but don’t understand why he didn’t endorse Trump in ‘16. He may be right about this. I heard Trump wanted someone to give up their shares of Truth to Melania.
Trump is saving the money for his own campaign, he will run IF GOP wins House and Senate-Not spending money on some races isn’t the best but with Trump we get the best with his sometimes questionable decisions, like Kushner etc
The day Trump announces he will get hit with a money bomb the likes of which has never been seen. I hope his accountants are ready.
Please, there is no shortage of outside money being spent to boost even the worst GOP candidates... PA is a perfect example... between the two turds running more than $100 Million each will likely be spent alone... and the overwhelming majority of it comes from out of state.
That’s right $1 dollar for every $3500 of the state of PA’s GDP will be spent to buy the senate seat for one of the two candidates, and yet folks think either one will actually give a rat’s arse about PA or its people, let alone America when they win.. it’s beyond comical.
Personally I don’t dislike Cruz, but realistically his only path to more power is if Trump wins again and puts him in his cabinet.
Cruz is not very likeable to most people. He doesn’t have a chance in hell of ever becoming a pres nominee. It is what it is, he just needs to be a little more self-aware.
Did he vote to keep McConnell as the Republican Senate Leader?
Did he toss his name in the ring to become the Republican Senate Leader?
Has the “most Conservative” member of the Senate ever called out his counterpart, Cornyn, for supporting amnesty?
Has the “most Conservative” member of the Senate ever called out McConnell, Barasso, Thune, Cornyn, Ernst, Rubio, Tillis, etc etc etc etc, for doing everything they could and can to obstruct an America First agenda?
Until then, kindly STFU.
Great point.
Those rallies wouldn’t be what they are if President Trump didn’t show up.
And he does so, on his own dime.
Wonder if Cruz announced a rally for any of the Republican’s running, would the crowds show up.

The first thing on the repubs agenda should be to defund the 87000 IRS agents or else money to Trump will become a fast track to an audit.
So true.
When President Trump threatened to close the border, Cruz was once of the first to come out publicly against it.
Rather than try to meet with the President and ask why, he chose to get on Twitter and run his suck. Not ever understanding that President Trump would be using the closed border as leverage against AMLO and all the rest, south of the border, to get what he and the US wanted.
God forbid, a career politician like Cruz could take a moment to ask a question and try to find out what is going on. And, of course, in doing so, undermined what President Trump was trying to accomplish.
Nothing but another Republican clown in the Senate. I think there are about 47 or 48 of them.
How so?
I agree. Cruz is his own worst enemy. He is really very petty and small far too often. His reasoning is always apparent. He picked a bad time to campaign for 2024.
Bla bla bla.
There’s less than a week to go for Election Day
This is Cruz being his dope self
I was in a house for one week with my children in single digit temps with the roads impassable for the ice
Hoping the natural gas would hold out
Did I mention no electricity?
No heat?
With a photo of him on my almost out of power I Phone he was standing on line at the airport heading to Cancun. Looking like food meat BTW wth dirty j nasty old jeans on and that ugly beard
The guy is tone deaf and here’s another example of it
Trump isn’t perfect? Really. On Nov 3?
What am I an emotional idiot?

might have something to do with Trump questioning Mrs. Cruz’s physical appearance.
(to be polite...lol)
Although, in defense of Cruz he didn’t go all TDS like Kasich did when Trump made fun of the way he ate pancakes.
If you bothered to read the article and had a modicum of reading comprehension, you’d know the answer to your question.
+1 Somebody is paying attention.
