Mehmet Oz brought his campaign to Lower Bucks County in the final days leading up to election day.
On Tuesday evening, Oz hosted a rally at the Cornwells Fire Company along Route 13 in Bensalem Township. Between 200 to 300 supporters showed up to the event that wrapped up before the Phillies World Series appearance started.
Oz, a medical doctor and TV talk show host who lives in Montgomery County, told the crowd the focus for him is on improving the economy, supporting law and order policies and police, and better securing the border with Mexico and stopping drugs from being brought into the country.
“Running in this campaign has been a dream. I have gotten to meet so many wonderful people. And for me, a lot of the thought process went back to my dad, who was born on a dirt floor, and was allowed to come to the greatest country in the world because we were welcoming immigrants who were working hard for themselves and to make our country better,” said Oz, whose family is from Turkey. “What he instilled in me is that we are the land of plenty, the land or opportunity.”
The candidate, who is running in a neck-and-neck race with Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, of Western Pennsylvania, said the Democratic agenda isn’t the best course for the country.
Speaking to the crowd, Oz said he supports law enforcement officers, wants to stop deadly illegal drugs from coming through the “open border,” and improve financial burdens on families.
“Washington is getting it wrong because of the extreme positions they’re accepting of,” Oz said. “They need a dose of Pennsylvania reality.”

Oz was introduced by Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, the three-time GOP incumbent who rarely makes campaign appearances.
The congressman has endorsed Oz and blamed inflation and a slowdown in new police officers on the “far left.” He said voters should support Oz to fight those issues and because he is a good person.
“I think I am pretty good at reading people and looking into their heart and soul,” Fitzpatrick said. “I can tell you this is a good, decent, honorable man. I can tell you he is going to do a phenomenal job.”
Fitzpatrick said Bucks County voters need to be a “loud voice” for Oz.
Jim Worthington, the owner of the Newtown Athletic Club who is involved in Oz’s campaign, told voters they need to vote against “radical liberal” candidates.
“What a candidate,” he said of Oz.
“Everybody is counting on him,” he said. “You have to get the vote out.”
“This election is about saving our country,” Bucks County Republican Committee Chairperson Pat Poprik said. “We have to do everything and we have to get Oz in that Senate or we will never ever have a government where we can live in freedom and liberty.”
“I just feel very confident in him. He’s not like some of the others. He’s not a politician. And I’m starting to not have any faith in politicians, but rather business people who run everything like a business, which is what I think we should do in our country. We should run it like a business.”

Is that true? If so, why isn’t he working his ass off?
Lol- they said the race was “neck-and-neck”…
“Goodnight everyone” still has me chuckling.
Because FitzRINOpatrick is a liberal assistant Democrat who appeals to the libs in Bucks County. He doesn't have to work. He is endorsed by a gaggle of gun grabber groups, labor unions, and environmental wackos, and has taken money from the Gates Foundation. The American Conservative Union gives him the lowest rating of any Republican House member. Most voters don't even realize that he is not his brother Mike, who died a few years ago. The feckless Bucks County GOP establishment is fine either with a worthless RINO or a real Democrat. The only good thing you can say about him is that he voted against impeachment.
Lol- they said the race was “neck-and-neck”…

You mean “neck and neck-n-lump”.
Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
Fetterman is the gift that keeps on giving.
Oz wins by 8%-10% is my prediction
What you said
No need for him to work hard. Despite the marginal nature of his district Fitzpatrick will win easily next week.
He should be working for the party, Oz, Mastriano and others then.
He could just as easily work for Festerman or Shaftiro.
Fitzpatrick fancies himself an “Indpendent” and gets endorsements from several Democrat labor unions as well as law enforcement. The Republics haven’t successfully primaried and the Dems aren’t serious about beating him as he votes with them half the time. He barely cracks a sweat at election time.
Well stated.
And 100% accurate.
Fitzpatrick is a POS socialist-light.
With Republicans like he, who needs communists?
