SYNTHETIC INSULIN, which I think is what most insulin-dependent diabetics use today, was developed in the 1970s.
I’m still on Metformin, so I’m not an expert on this, but I do remember when they announced the synthetic stuff decades ago.
My mother had dementia at the end in 2016. She would talk about having gone to the May company, a department store in the Cleveland area, earlier that day.
May Company closed in 2005, 11 years earlier.
I see so much of my mother in her last days in Slow Joe. Always grinning even though there was nothing at all to react to, she would put together words, but they didn’t make much sense. A terribly sad ending for a career school teacher with two masters degrees who taught so many kids for 40 plus years.
She’d have good days and bad days, the good days becoming more and more rare as the end neared.
That man should be in as assisted living home enjoying his last years. What is happening is nothing short of elder abuse.
