As conscious of this issue as we have been, I don't recall hearing the point of the game being passed from father to son. It's so obvious. Thanks for your comment qam1.
Correct. And if there were enough U.S.-born black players, the wokesters would just go to the next “underrepresented” group on the list: trannys.
Maybe they could get that Canadian shop teacher with the enormous fake breasts a slot on one of the teams - strictly for representation purposes, of course. Like other representational tokens, actual ability to do the work at the expected level of expertise is a very, very secondary consideration..
Or maybe they could insist on something related to baseball … hmm…
By Gosh! I knew it! Where are the black + U.S.-born + tranny + switch hitting + short stops”?
Well???
More black athletes CHOOSE basketball, football and track than choose baseball. The “why” is their business, unless they CHOOSE to tell us about it.
It is their own CHOICES that fuel the perceived discrepancy, not any racism!
In America, the race hustlers spring from the well of slavery, as it is the supposed original sin, and the reason why all these racial stories must be told. Yet, there seems to be no interest in the Cuban slave trade that endured decades after the American Civil War and the Emancipation Proclamation.
Yet, there stands Yordan Alvarez in a Houston Astros uniform- clearly a descendant of African ancestors. His lineage as a black man is as profound and relevant as any other black man in America. Why is he not considered black enough?
And if the Astros were an all-black team managed by a black guy, there would STILL be outrage from the race hustlers, as they would then say the only reason the Astros have a black manager is because no white guy would take the job, due to all white guys being RACIST and not wanting to work with an all-black team.
As you state, they will find something to complain about in any situation whatsoever.
Speaking of Dusty Baker, I’m not much of a fan, as he and Tony La Russa had more than a few bitter words for each other while La Russa managed the Cardinals- my favorite team. But, Baker’s father was an Air Force veteran, and Baker himself was in the Marine Reserve during his playing days. And according to legend, he invented the High Five. Anyway, I’m just hoping the Astros don’t win again. Cheaters.
That’s why I’m not watching it. /s
Actually, I haven’t watched a game in years.
Hell!
Being born AT ALL is a big hurdle to get over!
Any women in MLB? Sexist.
Any short people in the NBA? Uh,oh.
Eskimos in the NFL? Racist.
Convicted felons in professional sports?
Under age 16? (besides Joe Nuxhall)
Quadriplegic? Branch Davidians? Vegetarians? Blind? Deaf?
