I've been in the media and advertising fields for decades, and there's another angle that more people need to consider. Posted this a couple of days ago:

The media LOVES political advertising because all the money has to be paid up front. In the interest of keeping this gravy train a'rollin' for as long as possible, the media will ALWAYS make the race look close to the end, even if it actually isn't, to keep both sides buying airtime.

It's a racket that's been going on a long, long time, and more people need to be aware of it.

Consider all the players in this
Election Industrial Complex.
Ex. No one I know will participate in a poll. They are unreliable and a waste of money. But candidates are expected to pay them to play.
That’s the reason the EIC hates Kari Lake. She has her own system and brings receipts when challenged by the press.
