Castro is the Gay district in San Francisco, sort of like Queens for gays.

From what I gather he was an “activist” in the Castro district of San Fran. That’s the most depraved homosexual drug infested s hole section in all the nation, if not the world.
There is a district in San Francisco called the Castro District. They have (or had) nudist events there protesting about making public nudity legal...or something. This dude was one of those protestors at one time.
