Climate activists glued themselves to Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring at a Dutch museum on Thursday (Oct 27) in the latest stunt targeting famous artworks, but the painting was undamaged.
Three men were arrested after the attack at The Hague's Mauritshuis museum on the 1665 masterpiece which has inspired a bestselling novel and a Hollywood film.
The trio were Belgian, one 42-year-old and two 45-year-olds. "They remain in custody and are being questioned," The Hague police said. Social media images showed a man wearing a "Just Stop Oil" T-shirt gluing his head to the painting, while another glued his hand to the wall and a third emptied out a tin of what appeared to be tomato soup.

How did they get to the museum drive a car or take a bus the stupid things people do for 15 minutes of fame.
How about ungluing them using a 5-iron?
I’ve seen it. Worth watching again. Scarlet did a very good job, as usual. :)
The book (which came first) by Tracie Chevalier was well done, too. Chevalier’s books are wonderful historical-fiction reads.

Thanks for the tip!
My pleasure! :)
I think you’re missing the point completely.
Thanks. I’ll check it out.
Very little is known about Vermeer. He did not paint many works and only around 35 of his paintings exist to be known.
You might want to get a book on him or just search internet to find out more. Truly an amazing albeit enigmatic artist.
