With less than two weeks left before the November midterm elections, all signs are pointing to a strong Republican showing that would result in a switch of party control in the House and possibly the Senate.
That’s very good news for Donald Trump.
While Trump has been an uneven presence in the 2022 campaign – he has endorsed and held rallies for all sorts of GOP candidates, while only recently starting to air ads on their behalf through a super PAC – what you can be sure of is that if things go well for Republicans in 13 days, the former President will be at the front of the line to take credit.
As CNN’s Gabby Orr reported in a recent story on Trump and his 2024 machinations:
“[A]s Trump considers using a potential red wave as the backdrop for his presidential campaign launch, some Republicans said he is likely to demand more credit than he’s owed.”
Which makes perfect sense – because that is what Trump does.
He has repeatedly claimed credit for “making” any number of candidates from J.D. Vance in Ohio to Ron DeSantis in Florida. And he regularly brags about candidates he endorsed winning

I just hope that the wave is big enough for dozens of surprise wins, like a Murray defeat, and a Hochul defeat and a Whitmer defeat, and a few extra House pickups, along with a Murkowski defeat by her GOP opponent, and even a Kelly defeat and perhaps a win in NH.
Really? In most cases his endorsed candidates stomped all over the field.
When this is over, Trump needs to publicly thank the DNC for funding his candidates in their primaries so they could go on and win the general election.
Historically, the first mid terms after a party change of presidency goes strongly against the party that took the white house.
Whatever the margin of victory is in the midterms, Trump should get ALL the credit due him.
I heard Schumer is running ads now. I wonder what his polls are showing.
Red wave forming!
Yep, lots of them. But the best ads are the ones Elise Stephanik is running against her opponent, just delightful.
The butthurt is strong in this one...
Rooting for a surprise MA win, with Trump-endorsed Diehl.
Late-breaking story on the ‘Rat - Maura Healey diddling at least 3 female State Troopers.
Hopefully all the Paul Ryan types will be gone for good.
There are still 2 weeks to go and plenty of time for the GOPe to purposely throw the election.
Mitch is trying his best, never worked harder in his life.
You’re not asking for much /s
But, here’s betting you win ‘em all.
While PA. sends out 245,000 phony ballots; don’t underestimate the balls of the RATS and their corruption and their enablers the FBI, DOJ and CIA.
Interesting piece of writing. Interesting for its stupidity.
Trump didn’t vote but once in the primaries. He pointed his voters toward winning candidates.
Trump won’t vote but once in the midterms. Millions of voters who want to join his effort to “make America great again” will vote.
If there is a good result for Republicans in the midterms, Trump won’t claim credit. He will congratulate voters who used his guidance to coordinate a political force.
Elections are about voters.
Only the press thinks voters are mindless and members of a faceless mob led by someone with a press pass or at least a twitter account.
I just hope the wave is big enough to put McConnell at serious risk.
Those “some Republicans” are not endorsing and holding rallies the way Trump is. Trump will be in Latrobe Saturday to have a rally for Oz and Mastriano. He’s hustling.
